Bone biopsy questions

Options

i have several new sclerotic lesions in my spine and pelvis. I was told that they are too small to biopsy but now the oncologist found a radiologist to biopsy one. Im confused and scared. I was originally told they would biopsy t10 lesion but the order says tiny met in wing of pelvis. Has anyone done these kind of biopsies and could you tell me did they sedate you. Were you able to work the next day. I pull on patients all day. How long were you sore. Thanks in advance for any help

HI, I have not had this done but wanted to stop in and give support.  I'd suggest maybe calling the radiologist office that is doing the biopsy and request sedation. Perhaps they're doing the pelvis as it looks more worrisome, or the thoracic one is too close to spinal nerves etc.  ? I don't know, you could call and ask why.    I know someone with similar experience will be by soon. Good luck,.Praying all goes smoothly.

Mel, I would post your question on the Stage IV forum under the bone mets thread to get a sampling of ladies who've likely been through what you're going to experience.

    All the best!
