Discharge and spotting blood 7 years after oophorectomy
It's been a long time since I posted in here. I had Stage 3A invasive lobular in 2009. It was really large (6+ cm by 5+ cm by 4+ cm) and was in 2 of my lymph nodes. I had double mastectomy and chemo but no radiation (I have Lupus). I did not tolerate hormone therapy well so they did an oophorectomy in May of 2010. I also have Sjogrens Disorder which makes me really dry, well, everywhere. I have never had any type of discharge until recently. Lately, I notice discharge on my underwear. Not a ton, but about what I used to experience when I had ovaries. Today, I'm spotting what looks like blood. A tiny amount, but blood. I'm going back to my old (and excellent) GP on Tuesday and hope he'll do PAP then and there. I was concerned when I saw the discharge. Now that I see spotting I'm more concerned. I've read that mets to uterus is really rare. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks all

I had 3 polyps after stopping tamoxifen for several years so maybe whatever you took is finally showing symptoms.
Also, bleeding can be due to severe atrophy...and it comes from the vagina not the uterus, which you cannot determine until an exam is done. I'm glad you are going and have a trusted doctor. My polyps were b-9. Sending you good thoughts!

Thanks. I wasn't on Tamoxifen for long. It made me so irritable that I thought I'd get fired. The other one was giving me male pattern baldness. So I wasn't on much for long. Could be atrophy or polyps. Tuesday can't come fast enough even though I'll still have no answers then

Sounds like a polyp to me too. Your gyn will probably order a TVU and possible biopsy. My polyps were all benign. My gyn said I still needed a hysteroscopy after the benign finding. I suggested a hysterectomy to her instead, so that is what happened. Uterine cancer is very, very, rare, and in my case, and probably your's,the biggest pain of light post meno bleeding is all the testing to prove it isn't cancer.

Thanks. I'm sure the ball will get rolling on Tuesday. I'll keep you posted

Hoping for atrophy or polyps. Please keep us posted

You and me both. Thanks. And I will post updates.

Had pap least week. Had bloody cervicitis. They did a bunch of swabs. Pap normal. I have a staph infection. Yay for staph infections! Thanks all

Great news!

Great news. My polyps never bled, but I know they can, and that would mean surgery, so this is much easier to treat I think.
