feelingfeline,
That's how I feel every day -- carrying my cross, and trying to make the best of it. Thankfully, I'm not trying to carry it alone. God is always with me. Hope that all can rely on their faith to help lessen their burdens.
-
Great Post FeelingFeline! Some days the cross is harder to carry then others but always GOD is there to help..
God Bless,
Ronnie

My wife's ER+ has turned triple negative with numerous small mets to her spine. She's been on Xeloda for the last 2 weeks and has the usual SE's like feet pain, rash and stomach cramps. Here's something I completed for Easter. "He has risen!"
-
Mike,
I hope your wife feels better soon. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!
God bless,
Ronnie
-
He has risen indeed! Alleluia!
Beautiful. Best wishes to you and your wife Mike.
-
He is risen indeed! Mike, your artwork is amazing. Thank you for sharing it with us here! I'm sorry to hear that your wife's diagnosis has changed and for the SEs she's experiencing. I pray that they diminish soon or else the docs find something that works even better with fewer SEs. Your wife is blessed to have someone so caring with her on this journey.

Here is something titled Go'en Home and dedicated to all the ladies that have past due to this terrible disease. Note, the silver turned out much better in real life and not so well in the photo.

Luke 23:33-43
When they came to the place that is called The Skull, they crucified Jesus there with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left…..
….One of the criminals who were hanged there kept deriding him and saying, "Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us!" But the other rebuked him, saying, "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed have been condemned justly, for we are getting what we deserve for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong."
Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise."
-
Pope Francis during his very first general audience said:
"Living Holy Week means increasingly entering into God's logic, the logic of the Cross, which is not first of all that of pain and death, but of love and of self-giving that brings life."

Happy Easter everyone, what a wonderful day to celebrate everything we have to be thankful for!
Jesus has risen!

Not been on here in quite a while ladies but that nasty disease is working his devilish way thru my body it seems . Diag Lung mets end of last year just starting to use a nebulizer which sure helps . My eyesight has been worsening these last few weeks so saw eye Dr and an MRI Brain done -alas not good new as it appears the mets have spread to the brain . I have yet to go back to discuss results but inclined to not do any new chemo treatment -I just want to be able to see better and hoping he may still zap the hazy film from ky cataract replacemeny eye.
Either way I will not lots of prayers -I have surmised this disease was going to keep ravaging my body -have a paralyzed right arm after about a year post RADS which damaged my brachial plexus nerves over a year ago.
So I await whatever the good Lord has planned for me -my mind is still sharp and I am thankful

May The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;MayThe Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace. -
GrammyR, I read your comments and your various treatments. No chemo? I would have thought you'd have Xeloda, AC, Taxol or something really strong to knock those dirty little critters right out of you.
My wife has been on Xeloda for over a month now with 7 days on and 7 days off. Her ER+ turned triple negative with numerous small mets to spine.
-
Mike 3121- yes I had 6 month's chemo 2006 ACRTl and RADS for clavical nodule 2013 -tried and failed Hormone blockers after 18 nonths (multiple drugs ) so not wanting further chemo - now sight failing too alas !

GrammyR,
I was sorry to read about your progression. But, yes, you're right -- having a clear and sharp mind is very much a blessing. I pray that your doctors find a way to help you manage pain and symptoms for the foreseeable future. Peace and gentle hugs.

ElaineThere- Thank you -I will see a new MO on Monday (close to were I reside now ) The center is 5 minutes from here so easy to get to as I don t drive anymore. I likely will ask for Hospice as new Rx at this point futile and way too debilitating. I am blessed to have made it to 11 years since first diagnosis

Remember that grace and truth cannot finally be crucified.
Remember that all the high things that make humanity beautiful cannot be forever laid in the dust, spattered with blood.
And most of all, remember that He who rose from the dead, rose to pour out His Holy Spirit into human lives, and, by that Spirit, to make available to any individual all the fullness of Himself, twenty-four hours a day.

I haven't been on here in awhile. GrammyR you are an inspiration and I will keep you in my prayers. ~ Kim

Feeling feline and RedemptiveS -Yes order for Hospice went in today supposedly though warned it may be Tuesday before they get to actual consult-admit . Here in NW not like old days when I worked for them in Fl. used to do admission same day as referral.
Still I know to expect less with old style Hospice. Guess my hair trim will have to wait until I am moving around more big job of explaining to son this, weekend.

Best wishes for that Grammy XXX

Just found this thread and am attempting to regain my faith. up until lately I haven't been to church in 20 years. I too got anointed in hospital just after my surgery and I felt it a true blessing.
