    Interesting. Thanks for sharing this. Although utidelone is not yet approved in the US, I'm wondering if there are any trials going on in the US with anything similar? Not exactly sure what utidelone is, and links I found are just to the research talked about in the article above, and don't seem to explain how the drug works: http://meetinglibrary.asco.org/content/166756-176

    It's a microtubule stabilizer. Similar to taxanes in function. Microtubules are structures that form an internal skeleton in the cells, and play many important roles, including cell division. By interfering with the movement of the microtubules, you can prevent cell division, and thus growth of more cells, including cancer cells.

    Sounds promising, but it has a significant rate (14-22%) of inducing severe neuropathy, and anyone who has ever had that from taxanes, knows it makes life very difficult and painful.
