Haiku for Fun

Little curly dog
Sleeps beside me on the couch
Dream, my wee one, dream
-
Chasing dream rabbits
The curly warrior runs
Fast and free: REM sleep!
-
mustlove..and badger...your haiku's made me smile today. Thanks.
-
Thanks magic! The thought made me smile too.
I have had dreaming
dogs curled up at my side, on
the hunt in their sleep.
-
Glittering branches,
coated with last night's ice, shine
in winter-blue sky.
-
Soon the page will turn
to March. In like a lion
and out like a lamb?
-
Melting droplets hang.
A million tiny rainbows.
Sunlight refracting.
-
A dozen robins
hop in neighbor's sunny yard.
Two perch in my tree.
~~~
They came overnight
from whence I do not know but
glad to have them back!
~~~
'Listening' with their
feet for food in warming earth.
Are the worms aware?
-
Elderly mother
Angry, confused, sweet, bossy
Yep, she's still in there.
-
Poodles, I hear you.
Mom's 86, some days sharp
some days not so much. ♥
~~~
This thing is broken!
No, mom, let me show you. Just...
Her eyes glaze over.
~~~
She just wants e-mail.
iPad a steep learning curve.
Icons abounding.
-
badger...poignant
-
Thanks, magic, here's one from this morning's thin slice of joy.
Overnight surprise!
Old Man Winter ain't done yet.
Fat flakes dance aloft.
-
badger...come to the southwest where temps are above normal. Come July when everything is brown here, I'll be wanting to head to green Wisconsin
-
magic, I lived in CO for many years and love the West.
Soft southwest colors.
Azure sky, apricot clouds.
Snowcapped mountains rise.
-
Hopeful silhouette.
Small red bird, white-clouded sky.
He calls. She answers. ♥
-
Sunny skies above
Grass starting to emerge green
Me, another season older.
-
And the seasons turn
Faster it seems as I age.
Joni's Circle Game. ♥
-
Here's a beautiful live version from Miles of Aisles (which I own).
People have been calling out songs they want to hear, and she makes a great comment about artists- musicians v painters (she paints). No one ever said to Van Gogh, paint a Starry Night again, man.

Leaf-green sweater set
Celebrate first day of Spring
Vernal Equinox
-
Badger - Sweater sets and spring - great image
-
thanks, magic. I'm no expert but understand 'good' haiku brings the reader to the writer's senses.
***
They flutter and chirp.
Two small brown birds preen and fluff.
Courtship or raindrops?
***
He's found them a home.
Downward-facing tree knothole.
Not a yoga pose!
***
What did we plant there?
Hopeful shoots poke through the mud.
Maybe daffodils... ♥

Badger, and Magic, lovely!
~~~~~
Spring is in the air
Lovely breeze spreading pollen
Ah,ah,ah,ah-choo!
~~~~~~~~
And, just because I like this oldie of mine, enjoy:
~~~~~~~~~~
The Mother cloaks herself in green,
This early springtime morn.
And everywhere new life is seen,
A world again reborn.
The cycle of the seasons clicks
Just one more turn ahead.
We suffer Time's relentless ticks,
Lost dreams, and words unsaid.
The long Spring days have warmed
Until there is no turning back.
The swollen streams have had there fill,
They hold it with no lack.
And yet, it seems we want to hold
Onto the old ways too.
But if your choice is always bold,
The future is for you.
And so the Mother's cloaked in green
This early Springtime morn,
And everywhere new life is seen,
As we, once more, are born.
-
hi Monica, I sent you a PM. ♥
-
moonfire,,maybe an oldie yet a goodie.
-
Things do change so fast
From good and better to bad
But, there is still hope
-
Oh Neulasta pod
Lovely miracle worker
Blinking in the night
-
Lovepugs....I only know of Neulasta from TV ads and did not know that it blinks. I'm glad your 'lovely miracle worker' is doing its job for you during your chemo treatments. (((( ))))
-
Sunlight on the lake
feeds my senses and my soul.
So glad to be here.
-
Gained weight on chemo.
Nurse said it was a good thing.
Tell that to my pants!
-
My dog is dreaming.
Eyes closed, legs twitch, she whimpers.
Hope she's having fun!
