Nail trouble and tamoxifen

I've been on tamoxifen since June 2016 and a couple of months ago noticed a change in both my fingernails and toenails. They seem to be very thin and prone to peeling. One of my toenails has not grown since November and is discolored. Has anyone else noticed changes with their nails after taking tamoxifen

Definitely. Mine are thin too. I thought it was in my head.

I'm on letrozole, not tamoxifen, but I have the same problem with my nails.  They split parallel to my fingers and are just generally weird.

I had that problem as well, it started after being on tamox for about 20 months. I stopped using any sort of polish or remover, took biotin for a few weeks, now I just keep them cut quite short.

I've noticed that my nails will slightly lift. I have to trim them so it doesn't get caught and rip. I also have more ridges, but no thinning.

I was on anastrozole and my nails were brittle and I was losing my hair. I've always had strong nails that grow fast. I saw a dermatologist and she said to use Biotin Forte. Pharmacies in my area keep it behind the counter and you have to ask for it. It worked for me. I couldn't tolerate the fatigue with anastrozole so I switched to Tamoxifen. I'm not sure things are much better.

My nails have always been really strong and they grow fast. I did notice when I was on HT (can't remember if it was Tamoxifen or Femara) I started having white chips in my nails, like they were weak. I started biotin and they are strong and growing - fwiw - I'm back on Tamoxifen, too.
