    I too am terrified of chemo. I just got through my surgery - lumpectomy with 3 lymph nodes removed on Feb 9th. The surgery went really well, but I am stage 3A and now require chemo and then radiation. My first appointment with oncologist is this Wed. Mar 1st. I am scared. I've heard about all the side effects like losing your hair. I can't imagine myself bald! I am trying to stay positive but know how you feel.

    This is a very old thread (last post was April 6, 2012). If you want to commiserate with other BC patients about chemo, you may want to start a new thread or to join a thread devoted to starting chemo in March 2017. By the way, I did five months of chemo (in a very attractive wig!), and it wasn't as bad as I had expected. ((Hugs))
