Want patients, esp. Stage IV, need a "Cure" not "Awareness"

Options

I am team capitain of IV Moving Forward in the ACS Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on May 4, 2013 in Park Ridge IL. I want to increase "awareness" that awareness and mammography are not enough. They do not guarentee early diagnosis. We need a cure for everyone's breast cancer. I will pay all registration fees for any Stage IV patient who can join me at the walk. Spending hundreds of millions on advertising  and PR is not curing breast cancer.  I beg you to help me make more cancer free people understand this. My own cousin who is a nurse told my uncle I would be fine.  Stage 2 is curable. (BTW I'm stage III.)   event site: main.acsevents.org/site/TR?fr_id=47497.8&pg=team&team_id=1380444

Thank you for posting this. It's discouraging and annoying that so many happily raise money for  "awareness" when the money ought to be going to research to find cures.

I agree that more should be spent for cures, but awareness is sadly lacking when it comes to mens breast cancer. the family doctor seldom checks men or sends them for mammograms. most men don't know how to check themselves. and it seems that most men when they are finally diagnosed are quite a way along the way to too late. sure mens breast cancer s a bit more rare, but how many have died not even knowing what killed them?
