Xgeva
I have searched around and not found any others with the strange side effect from exgiva that I have, PAIN! two hours after a shot of exgiva, I was taking a nap when I dreamed I was in a car wreck where the left side of my body was crushed. I woke up with the pain from that accident (which I didn't have) and it lasted for 6 days. I have another shot today, and really don't want to go through that kind of pain again. each shot, the pain is in a different part of my body, I don't know if it is cramping, or just phantom pain. it feels real.

I am trying the same as last month, lots of liquids and a load of ibuprofin before the shot. it is now three hours after and no problem yet. I started on ibuprofin 2 200 pills at 5 this morning and two every 6 hours since. lots of water.
I will let you know if there is any change. ibuprofin didnt work on the last big pain episode. maybe the trick is to start sooner.

success so far, a little scare last night, going to have to remember to get some Beno for my wifes burritos.

bEEN OVER 24 HOURS AND THE PAIN STILL HASNT SHOWN UP. I might be on to something, for me at least. I still havent heard from anyone else with the same side effect.

I've had absolutely no side effects from my Xgeva, in fact it seems to me that they give me energy. Energy is not a noted side effect so maybe it's just in my head. I have them only every other month, my MO is of the less is more school and will change it to once every three months once I've finished my first year. I look forward to the little puppies, sorry it hasn't been easier for you.

even if the pain showed up, I have 4 more years of treatments left, while not exactly a fun thought, If I have to do it with the pain, so be it. I have to beat this @#%%^ cancer to stick around long enough to properly spoil my first grandchild, a baby girl.

lunch on Monday, still no pain (other than the usual) from shot. this seems to work on my side effect anyway.
-
4 days now, guess pain isnt coming back this month.
-
the seventh day, and the pain hasn't shown up yet. might have the way to prevent it. I would guess that some pain killers just take time to build up enough to work.

it didnht work. and please check with your doctor about ibuprophin, my kidney doctor says irs hard on kidneys.
