Hi there. I had a very swollen left arm for about 4-5 weeks. Initially thought I had lympadema, as I had had an insect bite. Slowly getting fatter. Went to Emergency and was treated as if possible clot. Not Clot but something showed up on CT. Then went to PET scan and hot spots in shoulder and neck and one in the adrenal gland. Having a biopsy on neck and adrenal gland on Thur 12 May 2016. Can't operate on shoulder one as too diffiicult so probably radiatiion. My question has anyone else had it present like this and after so long and thinking I had nailed it.

Thanks so much.

Sharon :)

Thanks for your kind words. Nailed it again. It mutated to Triple negative breast cancer, but I am so positive and cancer has gone. Now just got to keep it away :)

SharonJ1234, how did you get rid of it? Very happy it is gone.

Meow13 - Tumour was in shoulder and adrenal gland. They couldn't operate. So I had chemo. First chemo was the red one, plus another and taxol. I had a reaction to taxol and ended up in hospital for 6 days. They then switched to Abraxane. You have this once a week for 3 weeks and then a week off. I had two cycles of this ( 2 months worth). Then oncologist did a CT and tumour in adrenal gland was completely gone. My friend from New Zealand came over to visit and bought a book with her. Love, Medicine and miracles by Dr Bernie Siegel. I was hooked by page one. I decided to get his 2nd book - Peace love and healing. It was a very powerful book and I thought myself well. I used meditation and visualisation. I had to have a CT scan in the next couple of months and I told my family that the cancer would be gone. Of course they said no it wouldn't but good to be positive. My goal was to see the smile on my oncologists face. So I was all set up to have my next round of chemo and he pop in with the most biggest smile on his face. He told me the cancer was gone and that he had to read my CT scan twice!!!!! So I said well I guess I don't have to have chemo now. Nope he said. The chances of this happening were less than 5%. So I didn't have to have my last 6 doses of chemo. I opted to have radiation just as a back up. I credit chemo and the book for my miraclous recovery.

wow, sounds almost like me but not yet resolved.

I as 8 and half years out from dcis when I started having tummy issues. After ct scan of tummy by my gastrointestinal doc, i was told to see my onco. Onco ordered a liver biopsy and now on afinitor & aromasin. I was shocked and like you, i was sure I was in the clear. Just in the early stages of this new fight but hoping for good results

Hope for same success as you

SharonJ- what wonderful news; I'm definitely going to look for the book you cited. I too have had shoulder pain since before surgery in august. The pain does have some relief from ibuprofen. I'm wondering if you had relief from pain meds like that or if the pain was pretty constant. Been trying all different things to relieve the pain, but nothing seems to relieve it
