I've had 20 of 28 treatments so far, am badly burned. The rads onco sees me once a week, told me today it looked "totally fine." It's dark bright red and the top layer of skin is peeling off! I'm so confused, she said this was "normal and expected." But I'm so worried the open areas will become infected! Ive heard so many horror stories (cellulitis, etc) what can I do??? I already use aloe, Miaderm, Jeans Cream, My Girls, etc…but these are just to soothe the itch, I know they can't prevent skin breakdown :(

Find Mepitel strips and put them over the entire area. Keep a wet cloth inside a plastic bag in the fridge, and gently hold it over the area 6 or more times a day. It makes me so angry to see women with these terrible burns when they can prevented or at least minimised.
