Ready cat scan

I need help, does anyone know if you can get a cat scan and chemo right after one another in the same day, I have to drink a big bottle of ready cat the night before and morning before cat scan and then get dye and then right to chemo, is this safe or should I have cat scan a different day then chemo, would much appreciate some feedback Thank yo

I can't see any reason that you can't do it on the same day other than, if you are like me, the redicat gives you gas. So that would mean you might be really gassy while you are getting your chemo, just discomfort.

Not the CT scan, but if you are getting Adriamycin as part of your chemo regime it can be hard on the heart.

Wiegp - they will be monitoring your heart during herceptin. It's not as bad as adriamycin, but needs to be watched. Usually they do an ECHO or a MUGA test. I had one every 2 months.

I'd say it's probably fine except your GI Tracy will be upset after the CT contrast. You might need to go to the atheism frequently during your infusion. And you will need to hydrate after the CT scan. If they run saline during the infusion that may actually help you recover from the CT contrast and injection.
