Hello All-

I am curious if anyone else knows that they have the PIK3CA gene mutation and what treatments or clinical trial you are on as a result.

We have determined that the hormonals have stopped working for me and Eribulin just failed. Xeloda also failed for me. I am now searching for other treatments.

Thank you for any input you may have!

Rene

    Hi Rseman,

Do you know if you have the PIK3CA mutation? Please give a more detailed accounting of the order and length of time of your treatments? We love searching trials and treatments- have you had genetic testing? Am bumping this thread back up so more can respond

    Hello-

I do have the PI3KCA mutation. I had genetic testing done that discovered it. I have been on hormonal and chemotherapy treatments (a total of 6 different protocols). I have them detailed in my profile.

Thank you so much for your assistance, And please excuse the misspellings above

Have you looked at the NCI Match trial? NCT02465060 on clinicaltrials.gov

Unfortunately I was rejected by the Match trial because I have a pacemaker. However, my oncologist thought it important to go through the same denetic testing and that is how we determined I have a mutation. So now I am trying to find the best treatment fit.

I'm actually getting nervous as I'm not on any treatment right now and probably won't be for over a month as we look for something
