Tamoxifen and lymphedema

I've read that tamoxifen can cause fluid retention. Has anyone with lymphedema noticed that tamoxifen makes it worse?

I've got Stage 1 LE in my upper arm and just started tamoxifen today. Hoping it won't increase my edema!

    I have been on tamoxifen almost a year now. it is hard to tell if it affects the edema for me, I had 21 nodes removed during the surgery, and have been on lymphedema treatment since. and since both treatments started at the same time, I cant tell.

    good luck and there are a lot of compression products on line at lymphedema sites.

    Thanks Cliff! Have you had a lot of trouble with LE? Mine is currently Stage 1. Hoping I can reverse the swelling!
