First let me clarify that I do not have breast cancer, my sister was diagnosed today with invasive ductal carcinoma stage 1 grade 3 and i'm trying get all the information I can, she is my only sister, we lost our mother a little over a year ago to pancreatic cancer and I can't lose my sister. I hope it's ok for me to be on this forum.

Does anyone have any information regarding this subject.

ssunday - I'm sorry to hear about your sister's diagnosis so close after your mother's death. This is not a thread for open posting.

Start with All Topics and scroll down to IDC. You'll find a weath of information and lots of women who are dealing with IDC. Until you have more details about diagnosis & treatment, it doesn't make sense for anyone here to tell their stories about what chemo they had/or didn't, rads or not, etc. Although there are some generalizations, you need more data first.

Looks like the Mods moved this to an IDC thread. Thanks Mods

It's wonderful you are here gathering information for your sister. If you go back to the Main Site home page and look at the maroon strip across the page, you will see different categories of information (Symptoms & Diagnosis, Treatments & Side Effects, Day to Day Matters, etc). and many topics under each category. Along with using this community discussion board, I strongly urge you to go there for real good factual in-depth information on just about every topic, all explained in a very easy-to-understand way. It's a steep learning curve, but knowledge is power. The worst part of all is at the beginning when you are shell-shocked and trying to gather information and figure out what to do. It sounds like your sister's was caught at a very early stage; which gives her an excellent prognosis! Hang in there!

Can anyone tell me more about triple negative? she was negative for estrogen, progesterone and Hers, she sent off her saliva for genetic testing, next step is an MRI and visit with the oncologist, just wondered if anyone out there also had all three negative.

HI ssunday, there is a whole board area for TN women. I'd suggest you find that forum and read up. She'll definitely have chemo with TN, as that is one of the few ways to stop it. I'm not TN, so can't give more info on that type of Breast Cancer.
