Dcis 2015 Pagets2017

I was D.C. With DCIS high grade HER2+ in 2015 had bil mastectomy with expanders inserted at the same time. Developed an infection had the expanders removed had to wait a few months to replace the expanders with implants. Diagnosed last week with pagets waiting for MRI Monday then to schedule surgery. Has anyone out there had Pagets post mastectomy?

    Rschilig - Sorry I can not answer your question but wanted to say I'm sorry your BC has come back. I had a BMX for DCIS, but the doc would not do nipple sparing. She said the margins were too close for comfort. So mine came back in a lymph mode under my collar bone. I hope your treatment path is not too arduous.

    Rshillig,

    I'm sure what you are experiencing is extremely rare. Pagets is so rare to begin with..i think less than 5% of all bc. I would guess the Pagets cells were there from the start and just now growing enough to be seen. Nonetheless, it's very treatable.
