Monday greetings everyone, need a little encouragement this morming. I have my first mammo since diagnosis and treatment this morning. I had my brave face on and braveheart in the weeks leading up to this but now I've gone off the rails. Stress eating all weekend, didn't sleep last night, now in the gym working out when I normally can't even get up before 6am.
Hoping and praying for 'negative' results of course.
Have a blessed everyday
-
Will be thinking of you! Just think - when you get your negative results, you can celebrate and not think about it for SIX months!!!
-
Thanks readytorock. My 3d mammo was quick and the doctor stood by and gave me the 'negative' results. 6 month check-up here I come!
-
opt - yay! Gotta love some fast service!
-
Great news Opt4! That must have been stressful. All so recent for you. Hard to believe but it gets better. Keep doing what you are doing! We are all there celebrating with you. Hugs, Nisa 🌷
-
Great new!!!
-
Yea! Do something fun to celebrate!
-
Thanks ladies, i so appreciate the support. I spent the day at the new MGM Casino. What fun! I won $200 and had a few spirits. I don't know how well that will mix with my Aromasin but oh well, a girl should be able to have a little fun every once and a while.
Onward and upward

Hey ladies, it's quiet here and I'm hoping that means folks are out enjoying life or attempting to. Just stopping in to say 'Peac'✌🏾
-
I actually think the Stage II group is one of the quietest on the board - but also some of the nicest women
-
I agree we have become a super quiet group and that we are a nice and supportive bunch, in addition to having some walking BC encyclopedias around. But when cancer is quiet, we don't seem to have much to talk about. Some other threads have "themes" so maybe we could come up with something. Or a commitment to check-in once a month and share how life is going? Because for most of us, treatment continues. Not sure where to go with that, but I too would like a bit more contact. Hugs, Nisa 🌷
-
Hopeful and Nisa, totally agree that we have a pretty great group here. I like the idea of a monthly check-in as treatment does indeed continue for many of us.
-
I am here too. I tend to check my active favorites and run because life is crazy and I have also been trying to not think about BC all the time. I had a moment yesterday of fear because I have been getting migraines that last 12-24 hours and I guess yesterday at the height of pain I wondered if or when I should call my MO.
-
Hi everyone! I'm on vacation in Arizona. It's quite unseasonably cool here, but no ice or snow; so all is well.
-
Nissa, I like your idea of a monthly check in.
Molly, if you've been getting the headaches for two weeks or more I'd definitely call your MO's office and run that by them. I'm sorry you're dealing with migraines - what a misery - and then to be worried that they might portend something even worse is more than you need.
-
hello Molly, I read the posts often; however, as much as it is a sense of support the boards serve as a reminder
. I hope your migraines have subsided. I think at some point everyone gets headaches, joint paint, stomach pain, etc... with us it is hard not to link everything to BC.
-
Jojo, exactly why I try to not assume or jump to the worst case scenario! My son's GF lives with us. She is a childhood cancer survivor. She said she's lived with those thoughts and fears for a long time. I am better today but they come and go. It's not normal for me so I am waiting to see if they continue. If so I will contact my MO.
-
((hugs)) to all, just checking in. I'm mostly fine, just super busy. Was supposed to have mammo today, but it got postponed until Tuesday. just a few more days of anxiety...

Hi all! Nice to see everyone checking in!! Just did my yearly bloodwork - nurse called and said all good - whew!! See MO Wednesday for my quarterly check up! Had an awful experience with this blood draw - crazy lady nicked a nerve!!! It was crazy painful and now have shooting pain down my arm. Had to follow up with my primary yesterday. All he could say was it happens and will take time - sigh!! Good news is I am down 30 lbs since I last saw him 3 years ago!!! Yay! Getting the lymphadema under control and now finally healed helped! And switching to Miller 64 LOL!! I'm finally back to my old self and my old size 8!!! Just in time for our yearly family cruise and almost 2 months away from my wedding!!!!!!! It's been crazy fun planning and we are all set! Also, just found out my daughter is making me an all too young Grandma at 44! She gets married in November and poof - honeymoon baby! Lots going on!!
I totally agree with the monthly check ins! Good idea Nisa! Look forward to reading how everyone is doing!! ((((Hugs))))
Mary Jane (edited because every time I sigh my name it leaves off the E in Jane)😂
-
Molly I am glad you are better today.
-
MJ, I had the same experience and it took months to go away.
