Hello everyone --- into the fire, THE COUGH and INSURANCE CODES and MEDICAL RECORDS EMPLOYEES WHO DO NOT KNOW HOW TO USE THE RIGHT INSURANCE CODES. bleh
-
Poppy ..I agree with Mommy .. It's up to you to choose how much time you want to spend with your mother ..You need to do what is right for you and your family ..And NOT feel guilty free about your choices ...
Bluebird ..Welcome to The Bonfire .!! Yes ..Throw it all in the fire ..We'll sit with you , and watch it all burn. !!!
Edited to add the word "NOT "
-
Useless guilt-the next contribution to the bonfire!!
-
just a newbie here and I had to chime in...sharethehope and poppiek...people really suck sometimes. I have a list of a few types that need a good lick of the fire...let's start with everyone who balled their eyes out when you told them and promised if you ever needed anything at all to just call, you can count on them...then you really need just one ride to the doc and they've got a million things scheduled for that day when really you remind them of death and its too much of a bummer...not everyone thank God I hope we all have at least one person we can count on but before cancer I really thought I had more.
Keep shining brightly
-
Yes Nan - you really find out who your real friends are - I was amazed. People I would have never thought I would be friends with, came to my aid when I was in need.
-
Nan I also had someone who balled their eyes out & swore they would do anything to help. Problem - they smoked. Medical campuses are non smoke & I can't be around second hand smoke. Well I need a

GMA, I totally agree with you... I have had angels show up out of nowhere, always at the right time from the most unexpected places.
Since I'm posting to the bonfire I think I'll throw all those scan machines in while I'm here... you would think they could have star trek technology by now...lol

Throwing the aggravation caused by mom once again on the fire
-
Mommy ..Oh no ..I hope you are O.K ?
-
I am, just tired of dealing with the stress and emotional crap that my mom causes!
-
And now I'm throwing my old insurance company in the fire - They paid for all my medical bills in Dec. 2015 and in 2016 they took their money back saying we didn't pay our monthly payment in December and they terminated us. Say what??? If they didn't send this last eob in December 2016 we wouldn't have caught it. So now I am in real Crazytown - that was the month of one of my revision surgeries. Just got off the phone with my surgeons office.. We were wondering why our bills jumped up so much. My DH says he will take care of it...
Update: Our first payment in January 2016 they raised the rate and never billed us for the extra - just waited until the next january and when we cancelled the insurance and went to another carrier, they didn't tell us we still owed so they just cancelled Dec. 2015 and took all the money they paid out for that month - including primary doc, revision surgery and xrays. We never got a bill or warning that we could find. All over $70 they never told us we owed.
-
Holy cow!
-
We just take it as a tough lesson not to trust insurances and to try to understand what they do. To get a lawyer and fight this would cost more than the surgery.. hard lesson learned.
-
Sleeplessness from coughing - collapsed upper right lung lobe and pressed upon airways. Night after night. Into the fire.
GFoley - that sucks. There has to be a recourse for their wrong-doing. Small claims? The insurance board?

Dumping onto the flames: CHEMO BRAIN. Still difficult, even though last chemo was 12/15 and last Herceptin 11/16. Have not been able to return to (high tech, high multitasking, high stress) work, and that's looking less and less likely as the months tick away (already past 60yrs, husband says just give it up...) BC, "the gift that keeps on giving" but yes, of course, I AM grateful to still be alive. Just frustrated, depressed, and ashamed
-
Hi Ladies........hope your all hanging in there.
-
Tessu .. ABSOLUTELY no reason to be ashamed ..!! Into the flames goes the Chemo Brain. ..and I'll put another log on the fire ..
-
my tante had a brain mri for some bad vertico shes been having...doc asked...had she ever had chemo, Yes she says 20 years ago...well, he could tell by the look of her brain...that tells me maybe the blood brain barrier may not be as strong as we think(maybe more meds can get thru?,) and chemo brain can last longer than 5 years...this news kinda bothered me when she told me....but we are risk takers after all...each one of us goes out there to do the only thing we know will give our families peace...seek our perfect treatment...no matter how bad it hurts us or humiliates us...we will take that risk(chemo brain, heart issues) and do these things because we love them and love is the greatest force of all.
-
Ok, up and over..........he's in.............did he ever think maybe Chemo bit the shit out of you, and you couldn't do some things........real nice guy......
-
kb, i threw another log in for you to keep it good and hot!!
-
Honestly ..Some men never think before they open their gobs ..Into the fire he goes. !!!

Welcome back Firecracker!!!
-
Welcome back Firecracker ..do you still fly in on that broom of yours ???🙂
-
Tossing on the hurry up and wait wait wait endlessness of it all. I just want to go on the Xeloda and get it over with. Tossing on Ibrance which stopped working but only after it stopped, was good for something at the beginning, gratitude abounds for the help. But they need to make it last! For everyone. And tossing on not getting into my garden yet. But at least I can breathe again. So soon. And tossing on burnt bacon. Darn it. Burned BLTs (no nitrates or preservatives) are not what I wanted for my once in a year splurge.

the pic and broom was created by Bippy....One of my great treasures....
