Still can't really edit my photos until I get home and install my go to program. I still love Picasa, which google no longer supports. It's the easiest program I have even used, although I also use Photoshop and Lightroom for high end editing. He's a few fun shots I got yesterday. Today is my dd's 21st Birthday/

this was the life cycle of the flamingo..egg, baby , youngster, teen, adult
-
Love all the birds. Great shots ladies.
Scottie, what is that below the flamingo shot?
Love the collages. I wish my software did that.
-
Nancy, the second picture is an albino alligator taken indoors in low light at Alligator Adventures in Myrtle Beach.
Scottie
-
Ohhhh. I see the alligator now. I didn't know there were albinos. Thanks, Scottie for pointing that out.

Finally got Picasa installed on the new laptop. Now to get my new color laser printer set up. . .couple more pixs from last weekend.

The most rain they've received in a long time at Joshua Tree.

Pondering my future....

Love the desert photos Lita. All my friends in Northern Cali say they are suddenly drowning in rain. We're having 70s weather here in Jan. Very unseasonable.

Cute animals. Glad you got your new computer up and running.
Love the desert photos. I don't see too many of those. Yes, the weather is definitely strange. It is FINALLY sunny and no rain and in the 50's. Lita, grab every ounce of life that you can. Since my dx I have been trying to do that because none of us knows what tomorrow or even the next minute will bring for us.
Going to a two hour workshop on my camera today. Still playing around with color management with my new photo printer. I am loving it.

Palm oasis at Joshua Tree.
-
There's a place I want to see.❤
I am betting it's a lot greener now.
-
Lisa, Joshua Tree should be GORGEOUS this spring with all the ocotillo cactus and Joshua trees themselves in bloom. San Diego to Joshua is probably a lot closer for you than us. My back and legs DID NOT enjoy the 8 hr each way car trip down there from the Bay Area
(. Blood-clot-in-the-leg-city, for sure!

Nancy,
I love the frozen lake picture. It's like a map. Really interesting perspective.
Scottie
-
I like the clouds in the photo with the tree. We learned how to do them in class today. The lake is very interesting.

Thanks ladies. These were the last pics I've take back in December at my mom's. I have been sick with the stomach flu all week and just can't seem to shake it. I bought a new lens and it has just been sitting in the box for a month since I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I guess when you have to search for things to shoot in the dead of winter here you can find some interesting things to shoot. The frozen lake reminded me of a jigsaw puzzle.
-
Hope you feel better Nancy. DH & I both had the Influenza Flu three weeks ago. Laid us out flat. Haven't had any time to photograph although I going to a new museum exhibit tomorrow so we'll see what I get.

Thanks Scottie. I know it just takes these things time to run their course. I am glad your sickness is over and hope you and DH get to get out with your camera this weekend. I do have good news to share on my Butterfly Calendar. With the calendar sales and donations this ministry that feeds the homeless breakfasts in my hometown was awarded $550 and more to come that I haven't sent yet. I was thrilled that it worked out beyond my wildest expectations.

I had two hours to kill before I headed to doctor's appointment, so I spent it across the street..

San Diego has one of the best zoos in the country!

Sweet pixs Lisa. Hope all is well.
Last night I had the honor and pleasure of photographing the Tim Tebow Night to Shine Ball at our church. Second year and still amazing. Also cheered me up after new PS confirmed yesterday that I need more surgery. Won't happen until early July for my schedule but hopefully I will finally get my range of motion and strength back.
This Thursday is the annual ball for our school. This will be our 7th annual and I photograph the kids including mine each year. Lots of fun but over 500 photo to edit between the two events.

The round circle in the lower right makes it look like a cantelope.

what a beautiful sunset. Wish I was there instead of the cold in Indiana. I am currently going through chemo for the second time. I had it 8 years ago.One more treatment before I will be facing a mastectomy. Sunset reminds of vacation in Daytona Beach in October when I received call with diagnosi
