https://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments/5pww5d/im_sophie_sabbage_i_have_incurable_cancer_which/ I came across this posting and comment thread on reddit.com today. Sophie Sabbage has written about the emotional impact of cancer and provides tools for dealing with it. I have not read the book, but I am fascinated by the questions posed to her by cancer patients, family and medical professionals and her answers. AMA stands for Ask Me Anything. The book is coming out in the US today and I am certainly going to look for it.

Thanks, I was on Reddit earlier tonight and was reading it, and enjoyed it too. I always joke with my daughter that I am too old to be on Reddit, but I really enjoy it--they have the important news (and resulting comments--often so much more interesting that whatever article is cited) so fast, and the "AMA"s (Ask Me Anything) they post are really interesting, whether by celebs, scientists, authors or whatever.

    Wow.

    "

    1. That it is entirely possible to rise into your destiny precisely when you are brought to your knees.
    2. The people who die are not "losers". They achieve victories of the mind, heart and spirit that people who die naturally in old age may never touch or know.
    3. It is possible to free your spirit BEFORE you die.
    4. Grief is another word for love and when we let ourselves feel it, when we welcome it as a friend instead of a foe, it is a deeply healing force."

This really hit me in the heart.
