Kirk, Anna, Audrey and Amy, I am sorry for your loss. I know that no words can relieve the pain you are feeling. I have read many of Cindi's post. She was a wonderful gift to us here. She shared her experiences, feelings, and opinions here. Through it all, her love and concern for you were always evident.

Sear Kirk, heartfelt condolences to you and the girls. Cindi taught me so much through her uncensored writings. She told it like it really was, no sugar coating. It was evident through her writings how much she loved and appreciated you and the girls. She has found her peace from the ravages of this disease. Prayers that you and the girls find comfort in knowing what she meant to those of us on these threads.

I'm so sorry to hear this too, she was very much loved and cared about here. I am not good at expressing in the midst of loss, just very sad to hear this. Sad for her family and will pray for comfort and good memories.

Dear Kirk - I just came back from a business trip to Utah and read your post. :( I am in tears, but I knew lovely Rosevally (Cindi) was ready to fly free. My kindest thoughts for your family. We are here for you too. (())

Dear Kirk, Anna, Audrey and Amy,

I am so sorry for your loss.

I followed your wife and mother here, and appreciate everything she shared with all of us at BCO.org. It has been especially helpful to me as my Dad's life is winding down as a result of metastatic prostate cancer.

Everything I have been learning from my MBC sisters here applies to him too, and has helped me to better understand and be helpful to him. Their willingness to share so much so openly is so much appreciated.

    Hugs to you all.
    Love,
    Lilly

    Kirk, Audrey, Anna & Amy,

Rose/Cindi leaves a powerful legacy of love, passion for what brought meaning to her life, authenticity, fierce determination, and humor. Quite a while ago I sent her a poem by one of her favorite poets, and I wish to offer it in honor of her memory and in lovingkindness...

    In honor of Rose-Cindi:

    In Blackwater Woods

    Look, the trees
    are turning
    their own bodies
    into pillars

    of light,
    are giving off the rich
    fragrance of cinnamon
    and fulfillment,

    the long tapers
    of cattails
are bursting and floating away over
    the blue shoulders

    of the ponds,
    and every pond,
    no matter what its
    name is, is

    nameless now.
    Every year
    everything
    I have ever learned

    in my lifetime
leads back to this: the fires
and the black river of loss
    whose other side

    is salvation,
    whose meaning
none of us will ever know.
    To live in this world

    you must be able
    to do three things:
    to love what is mortal;
    to hold it

    against your bones knowing
    your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
    to let it go.

    –Mary Oliver (American Primitive, 1983)

I know Cindi planted foxglove seeds last summer as a beautiful little part of her legacy. I said to her at the time I will always think of you when I see foxgloves now. I have foxgloves in my garden and they have just put out this years blooms. Of course my thoughts went straight to "Rosevalley". They will keep blooming all summer. I hope Cyndi is in a place of unimaginable beauty.
