Asthetic appearance following ductectomy?

Hi ladies,

I'm having an excisional surgical biopsy Jan 31 and the surgeon will remove all the ducts. I've seen videos of this surgical procedure and the gaping crater left under the areola that extends nearly to the chest wall. I'm concerned the whole center of my breast will collapse inwards having such a large lack of supporting volume removed. Has anyone had this surgery and can you please share how your breast healed and looked a few months post op? I have C or D cup breasts. Thanks!

    Hey there! I just recently had this procedure on October 5. I am also a D cup. I was on here researching if what you posted about was normal bc I have a sunken in place on the bottom portion of my areola.Suppose this is to be expected but definitely better than the possibility of cancer! It's not horrible but noticeable. Hope this helps and everything goes well!

    • Thank you so much for replying and sharing your experience. Was the postoperative pain awful or not too bad? I know pain tolerance is different for different people.
