Do we have a new date or location for the get together? It would be lovely to see those that can make it.
-
Same date, 24th to 26th March in Canberra.
-
Hi all
I'll start looking for flights chrissy.
Carol

Oh cool Carol!! So pleased you can make it!
-
Can't wait!!!!!!

Hi all
I'm thinking about going to Sydney for a few days before I go to Canberra, probably will go to Sydney on Sat 18th March then Canberra on the Wed 22. I'm just looking at flights and accomadation . Any recommendations of where to stay in Sydney? It's only me so don't need anything fancy.
Carol
-
Jenn is the best one to ask about accomodation in Sydney as she lives there, Trish may also have a few ideas also. I'll ask the question for you Carol.
-
Grrr ... just typed a reply and it got lost!
Carol it's been ages since I stayed in Sydney, but my brother and his wife did just recently and stayed at the Travelodge. Nothing fancy, but not too expensive either.
I'm so looking forward to seeing you all again!
I've been having a lot of sciatic pain lately, so finally went to have an MRI done. I have L5 and L4 bulging and compressing the nerve root in both as well as arthritis. No wonder I'm in pain. Have been going to aqua classes to keep moving and doing my own exercises in the pool. Will see the GP on Tuesday to see what's next.
I'm still loving my job - lots of challenges, but my brain is back! Yay!
Trish

I just checked and the two best options in booking.com right now look like the Grand Hotel or the Russell Hotel in the Rocks. When we stay in the city we tend to be staying for special occasions so aren't looking for cheap... sorry. Check out Grand Hotel Sydney on Booking! http://www.booking.com/Share-POwJz1
Check out Russell Hotel In The Rocks on Booking! http://www.booking.com/Share-dnU1EE
Carol, the above are posts from Jenn on the 'Aussie Girls' group on face book and Trish said to check out the Travel Lodge as well.
If you PM me you full name and are on Facebook, I can friend you and then add you to that group as well.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Hey Carol, got you request and accepted as well as adding you to the group. If you post anything there we will all see it. Don't forget that it is a private group so only members can see what is said there.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

I'm booking my flights now
-
Hi all
I've booked my flights so it's too late now to change the dates, lol.
I'm leaving Perth the 18 March for Sydney then the 22 to Canberra then the 26 back to Perth.
Chrissy let me know what hotel in Canberra and I will book in there earlier for the Wednesday.
Looking forward to the holiday and finally meeting some of you on this forum.
Carol
-
Carol, we use share serviced apartments which are expensive if you are on your own but the cost shared between keeps the cost down for us. You may find booking into a motel or such closer to the city centre more convenient for those couple of days prior to the get together.
Trish is organizing the booking but I can't remember the name of the place. Check out the Aussie Girls page on Facebook as there is more information there.
Can't wait to get to meet you as well.
Love n hugs. Chrissy
