Increase in brown spots ad freckles?

I am midway through a 30 treatment radiation protocol, and am getting a great deal of freckles and dark spots on my skin where I had sun exposure in the past. I am also super itchy. I was told skin cancer is a low risk SE of radiation, but looking at these spots I am getting rather concerned. Does anyone have any experience with this or thoughts?

    Howdy! My derm says radiation dramatically raises your risk of melanoma. She has me on a 6 month schedule of skin checks for the rest of my life and has already seen two moles change.

    I finished my radiation treatments in May 2016. In December 2016, I was diagnosed with Melanoma on the same breast. The mole was there before radiation, so no one can/will tell me if the radiation caused the Melanoma. It was caught early at stage 1 and surgically removed that left a 6 inch incision on a breast that has been assaulted enough! Luckily, no further treatments needed. I remember pointing it out to my RO before radiation treatments. He didn't seem to concerned with it. You should see your dermatologist for a skin check.

    Thanks Southern Skies. So far the new brown spots turned out to be minor burns which went away shortly after posting. Glad you are doing well.
