Discomfort of breast reconstruction?

I just had my a double masc Dec 20th and had expanders put in. I only have 220 mls in each breast and it feels very tight but it doesn't look even the size I was before surgery so I want to continue filling. Did you all do get filled every week or every other week? Were they any benefits with the discomfort? Is the tightness I am feeling the same as what I will fill once I change to implants? If so, it is so uncomfortable I can't imagine sleeping!

How long does it take for skin to stretch?

Any advice for making it more comfortable?

    Jennin - as with everything else about this disease - everyone is different. That said, I opted to fill only 50ccs each time and to fill only every other week to minimize the pain from the stretching. Your doc will tell you what meds you can take, but TEs are just uncomfortable. Like having turtle shells inside. I filled for 4 months, then my PS required a 3 month wait before the exchange surgery while the skin continued to stretch and loosen. My grown son remembers me complaining all the time during this phase.
