    Okay...catch up day.

SusieM, Thank you..The IV I had last week went well. I didn't get sick from it this time! How are you?

Jazzy, I'm so glad you had a lazy day last week. So rare for you! Isn't your yoga retreat tomorrow?

Chevy, I hope you are feeling better from the Cipro. Just teach hubby to use Cortana or Dr Google already!

Smaarty, Have fun at the sewing retreat.

    Mags, How is PT going?

Junie, How is the toe healing? How did the sleep Dr go? So glad Kirby didn't take off on you. Such a cute dickens!

Sensi, Love the video of chance.

Susan, did you get the eyelash extenders?

Lita, How is your cousin doing? Makes me so sad to think what she went through.

Great picture of Sensi, Loverly, Smaarty and Poppy. You are fortunate to be near each other.

Spookie, I get what you said about lunch program. Although we have dishwashers, some stuff is still by hand, and either way it's a lot of work. There are some schools in my area (like Minneapolis) that have a central kitchen and ship out to schools. In my district, though, we prepare everything on sight at each school. I'm actually really proud of our district program. Some things, like hamburger patties are purchased frozen, but for example, if pulled pork is on the menu the cooks will cook a roast and shred the meat. We also have MANY fruits and veggies plus salads offered at every school, every day. Each student is required to take at least one fruit or veggie with each meal.

Loverly, Cute pics of your niece! It's so sad that you witnessed a drowning as a child, and then experienced the incidence with your dad. I'm sure the childhood memory made your dad's accident harder on you. My joint pain is good, thank you. My kids started back to work on the 4th, but I haven't worked yet. A couple of days I had appointments, a couple weight restrictions, so when someone called they opted to try another sub. Then this week I haven't been called at all. How is the book stand working for your dad? Another option I thought of is using a dense foam wedge with bungee cords to hold the book to it. I envision the largest part of wedge in his lap. Maybe it would be too big or bulky, but a thought.

    Hi everyone!

I hope the sick hubbies healed. My heart goes to those with aging doggies.

Chevy/Jazzy, Thank you for your support! My Ex was actually doing his duty informing me because we had agreed when we divorced that we would inform the other if we were going to introduce someone to the kids. I'm glad he did, cuz DD did talk about her after school, but it was way awkward! Plus it would have come up because get this...he tells me about this woman, then I asked if he was planning a vacation this summer (I meant with the kids), and he tells me that this woman is going to a conference in April and he may go with her. So, he's going to be gone during some days when he would have the kids..essential for me to know. This is how it happened..after ex's dad passed away late summer/early fall, she sent him a card. They are from a small town, so not unusual she heard, but odd thing is the card came to my house. His name only, my address. (When I google his name though, it still shows my address) Other odd thing, I remember the return address was the local Children's Hospital. In fact I almost opened it, thinking it was a nurse sending a card about the kids. Turns out she is a NP..no idea why she used hospital as return address..I suppose just in case it got in wrong hands. Anyway, she included her phone number, they had coffee, and have been seeing each other. He doesn't really get there's a line between sharing essential info, and too much. I swear he has un-diagnosed aspergers. (Think Sheldon from Big Bang theory) I know I'll hear stuff from my kids anyway, but it sucks. And yes, I have a lot of names for him..but mostly it comes down to he's annoying.

Tomorrow night I'm planning to go out dancing, for the first time since last April. I watched clips of the band I'm going to see, so now I'm in the mood to shake it. ;) Now to try to figure out what to wear..normally it would be something clingy/sleeveless, but not sure about it at this point in the reconstruction process.

Awww WildT. I don't want to write in a rush. I could ask you any questions still? Why did you divorce him? Did the stress of caring for your premature twins had something to do with it also? Just want to understand the situation and you more. Understand if you are not comfortable to share. BBL (today). Ha!

I've been busy with seriously crazy weather and DH having surgery and turning 65. Medicare is too confusing, it has taken so many brain cells to figure this out but I finally get it, I think. My work has great medical coverage. But the plan choices are different and confusing because it is Medicare time for him. We will be changing medical groups and doctors so that will be stressful but it could be worse.

Lunch was so very nice ladies, we do take a great picture dont we! I cant even explain how much I enjoy knowing you 3. If the security camera could speak it would be laughing at all the boob stuff it saw that day.

Beautiful sunshine today, hummingbirds are hungry after all the rain.

Loverly - I honestly did not see a mole. I am not just saying this I did not see even a small one...but of course now I will be looking!

Sensi - Chance is so well behaved, did you train him yourself? We always end up with unruly dogs! Not as much fun as having one like Chance who walks himself. How are you feeling?

Smaarty - Jealous of you, I want to go on a sewing retreat. Or any kind of retreat! Turned in my retirement paperwork today so maybe I'll have time to go this year! Yes will send you that cancer fitness program info, hope its good. Orientation next week, first class the week after so I'll let you know what its like.

Jazzy - Yoga retreat! What is that like, sounds wonderful.

Junie - A massage, happy day!

WildT - Men...they have no clue. And yours was Sheldony thats too funny. I'm hoping at least she is mature, patient, quiet, kind.... no craziness. What if she is Sheldony too lol? I feel for you, this is a lot to add to your plate right now. You go shake it, woohoo for your recon at least no fake boobs will go flying!!

Jazzy, I hope you are off having a restful, pampering, fabulous time!!

Loverly, Yes..you can ask, but because this is public, I'll be vague. The divorce had nothing to do with the kids. He hid an addiction from me, which led to a poor relationship. I became very unhappy, and after counseling deciding I was worth being treated better, so I told him I wanted a divorce and he should find a new place to live. I hope you had a good day!

Poppy, Yes...and my PS has given me the go ahead to be bra optional, so I can shake it in comfort!

wildtulip, hang in there, and most of all have fun dancing. Yes I did get extensions. Looks like I have my old eyelashes back with mascara on. No one thought otherwise. Unbelievably natural. She gave me a great deal, real great deal cause of the circumstances. Very sweet :)

    Loverly, how is your dad?

Kirby is the cutest. Good thing you caught the little dickens

Jazzy, very true about relationships that go too quickly often end quickly. Hope you had a restful yoga retreat. Please share when you get a chance.

WildT, good for you for drawing your boundary. You are worth more than how you were treated and you let him know by booting him out. Yes, it is not wise to share the details of our personal life on a public forum. Oh the addiction....we all have some form of it. Some are more destructive than others. I wonder if most addictions stem from insecurity. We almost got a divorce because of DH's addiction. Grateful we did not go through it thanks to a friend who is a counselor. She helped me to see the insecure child in DH. He did not have a very good relationship with his dad who was very abusive to MIL and the kids. The friend opened my eyes to see who DH really is-the vulnerable man who seemed confident on the outside, but scared and insecure on the inside. I am no saint myself. I also have issues. Used to have a lot of nightmares, among other things... more baggages than I can carry myself. Marriage is tough. When you put two broken persons together, conflicts are created. Sometimes I think people don't realize their addictive action is very painful. Tough when the person is in denial. Ok I am rambling.

Guess what I found for you? Some moves you can practice for tomorrow. Hah! Have fun.

Oh Susan, Elena looks like she had fun painting.

Dad is better each day. Still needs the Neurontin to help with the pain. He told my mom she could keep the anti-inflammatory and Tramadol. Just give him his Neurontin. Thanks to Peppy, I got him some B6 also. Completely, forgot about that vitamin.

JunieB, Kirby sounds like a careless toddler.

MammaRay, everyone has to get away now and then. Don't feel bad about staying in pajamas all day. I stay in mine when I don't have to go anywhere too. Oh, and wigs can be fun, especially if you have 2 or 3.

I just started watching that new show, Star, with Benjamin Bratt and Queen Latifah. Seems like she wears a different wig in every other scene. Where I used to work a couple of the women wore wigs too, and they didn't have an illness either. Sometimes they came to work in their real hair, but they wore their wigs a lot of the time.

Junie , Kirby looks like he is very inquisitive, I'm sure he is keeping you hopping. Just don't overdo it.

Good to hear you California ladies can dog walk without getting soaked. The weather here last week was brutal, starting tomorrow we will get some balmy weather (above freezing).

Wildtulip we all hit bumps in the road from time to time , you will get past this just like you have in the past. Our children are much more resilient then we realize.

Susan your granddaughter certainly looks happy.

MammaRay hope you are feeling better, thinking of you.

Loverly good to hear your dad is on the mend.

Our house is very quite without our dog, when I hear a noise I think it is him, forgetting he is not here anymore. This is the first time in 22 years we have not had a dog, but we are going to wait awhile before we get another one. We plan on doing some traveling or just going away on the spur of the moment for a day or two.

Shep hope you are feeling okay.

    Hi to everyone one else

Lookie - Sorry to hear that you lost your sweet Baily boy. It is so heart wrenching to lose them. They stay in your heart forever. I hope you and DH will enjoy some getting away time together.

Susan - Elena is such a cutie pie. I'll bet she had a grand old time smearing those prunes all over herself.

Poppy - One thing I'd like to share with you about the Medicare thing is that if you initially choose to go with original Medicare, you won't have to deal with being told what doctors you can see. You only have to check with a doctor to see if they accept Medicare assignment. But if you choose to go with a Medicare Advantage plan, there is NO going back to original Medicare, and you will have to deal with pre-auths for procedures, tests, referrals, etc. Plus the Advantage plans always have a network of doctors you have to choose from. If you go with Original Medicare, you normally can stay with the doctors you have, if you like them and they accept Medicare assignment.

Medicare Advantage provides coverage for office visits, hospital, prescriptions, rehabilitation care after a surgery, sometimes dental and glasses and some other things, but you have to stay within their network.

Original Medicare gives you the freedom of choice, but you have to get a Supplemental plan (AARP's United Healthcare - plan F is what I have and am very happy with it) to cover the portion of medical bills Medicare doesn't cover (deductible & the 20% of the medicare assignment), plus you'd need a Part D prescription plan.

With original Medicare, the magic question when going to a new doctor is "Do you accept medicare assignment?". Generally the person at the front desk will look at you like you have two heads, but the billing dept. will know for sure.

The main advantage for me is the freedom of choice. When I flew to Arizona in 2014 to go to the Mayo Clinic I was able to with out asking permission from my insurance plan. The ability to choose is very important to me.

Jazzy - Hope your yoga retreat is relaxing for you. My massage today was awesome. I took my pain meds before, but the massage was still a bit uncomfortable, but OH! what incredible relief after it was done.

    MammaRay - ((((HUGS)))) to you.

Thank you Lita. The Kirbmeister has certainly brought a breath of fresh air into my life.

Loverly - Why won't you dad use the anti-inflammatory & Tramadol? I sure hope he will heal quickly, and not get to antsy in the process.

WildT - Have fun and enjoy your night out dancing.

Chevy - I now have treats in my pocket too. Kirby expects them now every time he goes potty. I saw one of my elderly neighbors outside her apt. this evening and introduced Kirby to her. He barked at first, I think because she is in a wheelchair, but I gave her a couple treats and let her give them to Kirby then he seemed to settle down. He is real skittish around scooters/wheelchairs, etc. Gonna have to work on that if he has any chance of becoming a Therapy Dog.

Okay, crazy thing happened last evening. It is about 10:00 p.m. and there is a knock on my front door. I look out the window and there stands one of the neighbors I've spoken of before. I open the door and he has my wallet and is returning it to me. I didn't even know I'd lost it. Apparently, it fell out of my coat pocket by the dumpster as I walked to my apt. from the bus stop, and he had found it. Whew! If I had realized I'd lost it to begin with, I'd have had a fit. I am surprised he returned it considering how he behaves normally, but so very thankful.

Hello Queenie! Good to see your post every now and again.

Okay, guess I'll say goodnight to all. Sleep well!

Susan ~ Thank you for telling us it was PRUNES smeared all over! lol! Elena does have fun, doesn't she? Silly sweetie! I don't think I've ever heard of eyelash extensions. How are they done? You do so much for others; yay you for doing something for yourself that makes you happy!

JunieB ~ OMD.....thank goodness the neighbor found and returned your wallet intact to you! Isn't it nice when people surprise you in a good way? FFH lost his wallet a few years ago - right before Christmas. He had to get a new driver's license, replace his credit cards.... Whatta pain! About a month later I found it - wedged behind the seat of his desk chair here at home! He is always losing something. Last week he lost his phone. He somehow threw it out when he put the trash can out front for the weekly pick-up. Took him hours of panicked searching.....

Dogs are so funny, the things that rattle them. Kirby will get over his fear quickly once he realizes those wheels mean treats - good job! Hope your little love is behaving himself :)

Poppy ~ Hope Hubby's recovery is going well. He is 65? You must be much younger than he is - I saw those pics of you young'uns having lunch!

JunieB's Medicare info is excellent. That stuff is sooo confusing! Good to know about the AARP Supplemental Plan. Will you be able to keep your insurance from work when you retire? Is your husband on your plan? If you can keep your work insurance, you can have Medicare as your primary and your work as secondary. Unless the Supplemental plan cost less....

How is Gus Kitty and when will we see pictures?

Sensi ~ Chance is such a good boy! I love how he "talks" to you! Loverly had described your voice as kind after you first met in person. After hearing you speak in your videos I can say I totally agree. And when you are talking to Chance, I hear happy too! Your dad was a gold miner? Neat! You must share some stories with us :)

I've missed "hanging" with y'all and need to do more catching up in the morning......I haven't forgotten anyone - just getting sleepy. Bye for now 💜

    One last thought :)

WildT I have been reading and feeling empathy for you. Very difficult. I was lucky. By the time my ex-H remarried it did not bother me as it was long after he had left and I was remarried myself. I do very strongly remember the pain of knowing/thinking about the relationship he was involved in at the time he left and for a couple of years after, and even a couple of women after (the one he had the affair with was not the one he ultimately married). It is very, very hard. The only thing I would say to you is to do the things that help YOU stay strong and sane for yourself and your children. I was so lucky there was no web, no social media etc back then, because the temptation to read up all about this other woman must be severe. It will probably need some superhuman strength on your side to keep focused on doing only what is best for YOU. Do what brings you joy and strength. Even 10 minutes a day on something that brings you joy will be a strengthener. XXX

one other thing, with the Advantage plans, you don't pay for them. With the supplements, and the part D, you do. And they aren't cheap.

DH and I have Advantage plans from Humana and have been happy with them.
