Hope and inspiration
Just a note to all of you facing a recurrence. I am one year out from treatment for my third recurrence, just had clear CT and Bone scan so at this moment I am NED. My last recurrence was aggressive and stage 3b so I am under no illusions about my risk levels. However I have been playing this game since 2000 and now regard my cancer as a chronic disease that I manage. I have a very good life and have done all the cliche things that cancer patients do. I changed my career, travelled around Europe for six months, emigrated to a new country and retired early. It certainly is a long journey.
I just wanted to wish anyone who is facing a recurrence good luck and I know it is devastating but there is hope.

Very good luck to you. I notice your recurrences have been at five year intervals so let's hope you will now break that cycle.
