Another in the waiting room...

I'm waiting as patiently as possible with everyone here too.  First mammogram on 12/19, age 41.  Mammogram led to scheduled u/s and two site biopsies on 1/5.  DCIS highly suspected.  The doctor already scheduled me with a surgical consult on 1/11.  Biopsy result should be available 1/9 or 1/10.  Waiting...  Bi-Rads following my 1/5 visit was 4c.  I'm not up to speed on all that has occurred in my whirlwind of a life lately.  Much to take in and much more to consider and look at to follow next week.

I have appreciated all of the reading and information I have been able to gather from viewing the posts on this board.  I haven't responded to any post.  My apologies.  I believe I'm in shock yet.

    Hoping for the best and you only end up on this board for the research! The waiting is so difficult, no good words to get you through that except so many of us understand it. If needed, the boards are a great support.

    Thank you ajbclan for your response.  It is greatly appreciated.  Biopsy results came in Monday late afternoon.  The doctor's belief that it was DCIS was confirmed.  Both biopsy sites were grade 3.  Consult with the surgeon will happen today and an MRI to follow.  I'm glad these boards are here for support.  The support and education gained from this site is needed.

    JadB, If you have someone to take with you to your appointment today, who can take notes, or hold a recorder to capture all of the information, that can be helpful. Write down your questions, concerns etc so that you make sure to get them all answered.

    Very glad you've got MRI scheduled as well. Is there anything you need from me (us) to help you get prepared for your meeting?
