Help me please.....TNBC
My Mom Recently Diagnosed with a Breast Cancer.A breast lump of 35 mm was foung in upper quadrent of right breast. on biopsy it was Grade 3 tumor triple negative and Ki67 is 80 %. Her sentinel Lymph node biopsy was done. 2 lymph nodes were checked but no node was positive.Ultrasound was done everything was ok. Doctor asked for Bone Scan and CT Scan. Bone Scan was ok . Dr Started Chemotherapy but in CT Scan it showed a small lesion measuring 4 mm in liver.Lungs were clear.now dr recommended for MRI. MRI appoint ment is on 27th Jan. I want to know how many chances of liver lesion is to b malignant. and suppose MRI say its Malignant then what are the risks ? Can it b cured completely or just b treated ?

mohmemmadanees - I can't answer the question about "chances" of what the liver lesion means, although it may change her "staging". Hopefully the MRI will show that it is not malignant. I can tell you that breast cancer is never "cured". The disease can be treated & managed and people can live well for more than 50 years - but there is no cure. Some people use the term 'remission' when nothing shows on the scans after chemo/surgery/radiation. I prefer to use the term NED (no evidence of disease)
It's a positive thing that she's already started chemo. They may tweak the formula some based on the MRI results. Good luck.

My good friend's mom had TN breast cancer about 2 years ago at age 83 and underwent a lumpectomy and radiation (no chemo due to age), I believe she was stage 2. After treatment she wasn't feeling well so they did an MRI and just like your mom, they found a lesion in her liver. She went for a biopsy and it turned out to be benign- I am hoping and praying you and your mom are going to have the same experience!!! They never did find out why she feels awful (and she still does) but it's definitely not the cancer because she's had every test under the sun and so much time has passed. But we were all convinced this was going to be bad news and it wasn't, so keep thinking positive thoughts, praying and hoping!!! GOOD LUCK!
