2016 ~ In Memoriam
I was thinking about a few women today from the forum who have passed, and wanted to pay tribute to those who left us in 2016. May they rest in peace

Divine , sobering list. Thanks for taking the time to honor our sisters. My prayer is that one year there will be no one on the list
-
Thanks Ms Divine, may they all Rest In Peace. Definitely is sickening to see so many names for one year. That is hard to swallow.
-
Fly free sisters! Rest in eternal peace and love.
-
Very sobering to read this list. They will be remembered.

-
Beautiful souls. It was an honor to witness their lives. Thank you, Divine, for helping us honor them with this remembrance.
-
Thank you for this, Divine. May they rest or soar in eternal peace. I'd also like to add prayers/ thoughts to all those who may have left us, voices no longer heard on the boards.
-
Too many. Just too many. Heartbreaking. I'm with Lynnwood. May this list be blank at the end of 2017.
-
thanks for posting these names So tragic & heartbreaking to know that this is just a few of those who died w/bc last yr April
-
Sobering, indeed, may they all rest in peace.
-
Thank you, Divine. This makes me very sad to see. They will be remembered. 😥
-
Thanks, was not aware of the last 3. So sad.
-
Fly free beautiful angels. Never forgotten.
-
Rest In Peace sweet ladies. Remembering also the families and friends they left behind.
I had two losses this year--Jude Carlson and Courtney Lasater. Both amazing women.
May their legacy never be forgotten
-
Thanks for putting this information together and posting it. Such a loss this year to our boards. Such a loss to the family and friends of each of these women. They will be remembered!

Susie, there are several ways we learn of the passing of a member. Sometimes they will ask one of their loved ones to post the information should they pass. Sometimes they have formed a more personal relationship with one or more of the members on the board who will be aware of their passing and let us know.
The forum does have a "central address" thread where a member can put some contact information, say the name of a close relative and their phone number and email address, in case we have not heard from them in awhile, one could go to that thread and reach out to that contact person to see what is going on. It is voluntary to add your own info.
We also have an "in memorium" thread and one of our members, Celia, will add the names of those who pass along with the date it happened. That is where I got the above list.
Here are a couple links:

Thank you, Divine. Many familiar names on that list. May their families and friends find peace in memories of the happy times they shared.
I love you all

This is very depressing. I counted 27 people lost to that demon cancer. It particularly hurt me regarding the younger women with small children. Cancer doesn't give a damn about your kids or your invalid parents. Cancer doesn't give a crap how much you pray or how optimistic you try to be. He takes you anyway.
Had a hard time sleeping last night. And when we're upset, our aches and pains are way more noticeable and bothersome. Back has been screaming out lately. It's probably my grief over these ladies, and my anticipatory grief for the rest of us.
No more words,
Lita

-
Thank you, Divine. Heartbreaking to find there were some I had missed. Sobering.
-
thanks for compiling this list. It was great to sit back and remember those I knew. I didn't even realize about cjanet as I've been on a bco break. So sad to hear that. They will be missed in deed
-
RIP to all of these lovely women.
Just an FYI for those of you on the West Coast in case any of you wish to attend this. I did not know where else to post this for those of you who did not subscribe to her blog.
Longtermsurvivor (Stephanie Sugars)
Posted by Melody Sugars on January 12, 2017 4:00 pmStephanie's dear friend Angela, a member of her Circle of Care, has reserved a space at Summerfield Waldorf School, west of Santa Rosa, for Saturday, April 22, 2017 for her Memorial. The serendipity of that being Earth Day can't go unnoticed.
Please save the date if you would like to attend. More details will follow as the time nears. Thank you.

I wish I lived near the west coast so could attend Stephanie's memorial. But Ohio and poverty make that impossible.
I cry every time I see the angels list. Especially for the ones that I had personal contact with. And then I remember ones from previous years. Way too many of us every year.
-
For those of you who remember her, JillThut is having a Birthday in heaven today. I miss her as we were friends outside of BCO.
Happy Birthday Jill. Hope that you are dancing wherever you are!

-
I remember her fondly. Birthday wishes to you ,Jill
-
love all of you.. rip
