Low Ki-67 but Grade 3 Tumor

Options

My tumor has a low Ki-67 score, and with nearly 100% ER+/PR+ percentage, I believe it is a slow growing luminal A. However, the grade 3, one node involvement, and LVI present make me doubt about it now. The grade 3 just does not correlate with the low Ki-67! What do you think?

You've already had (or are still having chemo), so I'm guessing you didn't get an Oncotype score for the tumor. This would have given you indirect information on Ki67, though challenging to actually tease out.

Usually when people bring up Ki67, the concern is over a % and worry that they should get chemo when MOs are suggesting not or are not committed one way or the other. Tumors are heterogenous and Ki67 results may vary from lab to lab, so the grade may be a better reflection.

I'd not look back. You are getting chemo, in part because of your age, the grade, and the node involvement.

Thank you for your reply! I actually have had the lump for over 2 years before dx. So I still believe it is kind of slow-growing, just the grade 3 makes me frustrated. You are right, I started chemo already so I really should not look back.
