After surgery problems and I'm scared.

I had my mastectomy, treatments all done. Well I needed a lift and some work on the mastectomy side. Now on the left, the lift side, and where I had a small reduction, I have a painful lump, the nipple is red all around and I have just now developed a scab. From nowhere ! It's on my nipple. Anyone else have these issues. Mammo the 30th thanks ladies

    When did you have the lift/reduction? Could it be a bit of an infection? Sometimes a retained suture (one that didn't dissolve properly ) can also cause an inflammatory response, I had that happen several times, till I got the PS to stop using that one. I had to go in and have the undissolved suture taken out, on the skin area. Try applying hot packs to the area, keep the scab covered as well.

    thank you for responding. It has been about 3 months. I don't have any scabs left. I do still feel a suture piece. Like a little tiny piece. Did you ever hear popping sounds from the sutures? Oh shivers! Lol
