Merry Christmas! Anyone else waiting?
Hey all...I've posted a few times in random sections. Currently I'm waiting for my excisional biopsy which is on Dec 28. I've been doing my best to really enjoy this holiday and not think about the fact that I might have cancer. But for some reason in the back of my mind I feel like it could be a hell of a year between now and next Christmas. I've teared up quite a few times today and I'm trying to hold it together because my Dr said I only have a 25% chance of having cancer now. And I'm assuming if I did, it would be early considering I'm only 37 and have no history of BC in my family.
Anyone else in the waiting stage now? How are you handling it? Also, just putting it out there that it anyone needs support I'm here!

I'm waiting too and really struggling. I had a stereotactic biopsy on the 20th. I called the office on Friday and the nurse said they had the prelim report but my doc was in vacation, so she couldn't tell me what it said. Then she told me not to worry about it. I've tried really hard to be upbeat and present for my family but it's difficult.

bean, sorry to hear you've had to wait through the holiday weekend. I would take it as a good sign that she said not to worry. My dr always told me if there was bad news they would call me right away.
I had my core needle biopsy done dec 1 and was called the next morning with results directly from the radiologist. I have ADH so far. Then I had to find a surgeon I liked to remove it so we can find out a full diagnosis.
Try to stay in the moment. When I am able to focus on my kids it helps. Most of the time anyway. I'm sure you'll be finding out tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. Hang in there

Thanks Wonder. We hosted a lot of friends today so that helped. Tomorrow I'm taking the kiddos to a movie. I'm hoping your surgery goes well. This has been a roller coaster holiday season.
-
Bean, In my experience if there is bad news the nurse/radiologist/tech won't say a word. I think she can't tell you the result, but was dropping a hint.
stay strong, Luna

I am also waiting on a biopsy I did on the 23rd. I had breast cancer almost 7 years ago at the age of 25 and felt a lump above my mastectomy scar. I'm praying and hoping for the best..

bean, I'm taking my kids to go see Sing tomorrow. You too? It looks so good!
Skd, I'm so sorry you're waiting with us. I hope you were able to find something good about today. I'm sure you'll be getting news in the next 48 hours. You're almost there!!!

I had a surgical biopsy on my nipple last Wednesday, 12/22. No word yet. It was ordered because I have had two episodes of bleeding from the nipple. After the biopsy, the Dr came into my room and said she didn't find anything so she took a sample of tissue to biopsy. Then she said "we probably wait until you are older." Ummmmm NO.
I am a single mom of two young kids. I'm 39. I'm not waiting until I'm older?! Take care of my bleedng nip now!!!!! So I'm left hanging and feeling quite frustrated. Thanks for listening to me vent. My post-op apt isn't for another 9 days. I might call tomorrow to see if they can give me some answers. I pray for happy results for you, too!!

little wing, I hope you get some good news soon. My excision was today. The surgeon said she thinks she'll get pathology back in about a week. I'm just glad this part is over. I was so scared of surgery as it seems my first time.

I finally got the results from my biopsy and was diagnosed with ADH, ALH, FEA, PASH and a few other things mentioned on my report. Talk about a multitude of atypia. Ha! I feel like it's taken a couple days to really process and now I am ready to get back to my everyday routine (including exercise!!).
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who offered me support!
