Mammaray, what are those colored things in your cocoa? Just curious.
-
Kewl!

I typed a whole long post and when I tried to submit it I found out the site had logged me out and the post was gone. Too tired now to re-type but here are Kirby's 9 week pics. He won't be coming home this weekend. Snowy weather too bad, so I'll be flying to Spokane, WA January 3rd to pick him up.
Goodnight and I'll try again tomorrow.
-
There you are! Was wondering if you made it home safely. When I saw the picture, I thought Kirby was home. I am sorry. The boy is getting cuter and cuter.
WildT, I just realized I forgot to answer your question about the tinnitus. I had it after reconstructive surgery. I believe it was caused by the Keflex given to me after the surgery to prevent infection. Not a common side effect with Keflex. I did some research and found that it is about 1.35%. I woke up in the middle of the night one day and thought I heard sirens. It went on for awhile and at that moment I was thinking to myself wow there must have been a very bad accident nearby. And why is my DH still sound asleep?
How is new med treating you? I love seeing pics of the snow.
-
JunieB! Are you home? I was worried for you! Gosh, the adventures you have..... No fair when the weather doesn't behave and bridges are involved..... Kirby is a doll! Will you fly to pick him up and then go right back or will you stay overnight? Either way, it will be much easier than driving for so long with a new pup. If you need any traveling-with-critters tips let me know; I've become an expert!

MammaRay ~ I am green eyed with envy...... I want Wonder Woman jammies!!! Home with both your fellas all nice n' cozy enjoying a white Christmas...... Life is good 💗
Loverly ~ Gentle one whose heart is so kind, I wish I could go back in time and scoop up the little girl you once were. I would hug her and let her know just how special she was and will continue to be. Then I would buy a one way ticket for that uncle to go far, far away! You experienced things as a child that very few adults could have handled. You survived and thrived with grace and strength. So many people hold on to the tiniest of things from their past and become so bitter that as adults they cannot find any joy in themselves or anyone else.
So thankful for all the strong and caring ladies here. Positive, encouraging, nurturing and silly......love you all 😊
-
M0mmy Congratulations. All your hard work paid off.
MammaRay I thought they were smarties! (Not colourful enough for m&ms!)
-
MammaR.... when I first looked at your picture, just thought "soup"... with carrots & peas! So but then I read more, and saw the marshmallow story...Hah!
I looked outside last night, when I got up, and saw the snow....Lots of it.... and it's only 2.3 degrees out ! Now it looks like about 10 inches everywhere.... We were TOLD we were getting it... and nothing we can do about it.... just stay in, and wait for the sun... tomorrow.
Tulip, that reminds me of visiting my Dad one time after Mom died, and when I was leaving, I left him little sticky notes in all the rooms... Over their bed I wrote "Good Night, sweet dreams, don't let the bed-bugs bite"..... Because I remember they told us that when we were kids...
Also "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine".... And "You make me happy, when skies are gray".... We all sang that to Mom the night before she passed away....And we talked about our favorite memories of her..... Me, my Brother, Pastor John and his wife Kay, and Mom's best friend.... Being with all of them really helped take the heart-ache out of that last night....
Don't know if she could hear us, but we tried to "celebrate" her life......
You GUYS! Just don't go out when the weather is bad.... Man, I cancel appointments, and do everything I can to just stay off the streets.... When it is Winter, we always have extra "stuff" around here, so we would never have to leave in icy weather....
Think I got that from my folks, AND Grandma... We didn't have anything, but we would stock-up when things were on sale, or the weather was changing. I called out of work a couple times, when the snow was too deep! Now I worry about our Daughter, driving around to her job! She is MAYbe going to be transferred closer to her home! THEN she could walk if the weather was like it is today! Now she has to drive about 10 miles.... with a lot of steep hills....
Okay, where is that Spookie? She is probably laughing her head off, sitting there with next to nothing on, and watching the sun come up, in 75 degree weather.
-
Woke up to snow coming down. Local news says my area might see about 4 inches before it turns to rain. Would prefer the snow over the rain.
-
hi everyone! Don't know where spookie is with her temperature and dog, but we are getting up to 76 today. It always happens before a norther comes, it would push the. Warm air down first. We will get 32 tomorrow. Burrrrr...
MommaR, just want to tell you so happy to see you back here. You boy is so cute.
ShepK, you are really beautiful, inside out. FFH is really not that bad, right?
JunieB counting days with you for Kirby coming home. For your health, It's better to fly than drive.
Lovely enjoy winter break with DD1, kids grow up too fast.
Chevy glad you are back here. Say hi to other owlettes that I didn't name. I read and follow your posts often. Happy holidays.
-
Well it definately appears I was fight about my final grade for class. Grades aren't out until next week or after Christmas but from what my instructor put up on the portal where we would access the class she posted our grades. I finished with an A!!!! So happy!!!!
-
-
Oh you SEE you guys? She is just rubbing it in!!!! I'll give you a "slightly chilly Christmas!" Sheri is going to Celebration this next week, because they make fake snow at night, and it really is beautiful! We were in Orlando with them one Christmas!
I really do love the snow.... and it was SOoooooooooo dry here all Summer, so this will help! I just don't like to be out IN it! My Brother remembers delivering the newspaper when he was a kid, and riding his bike to do it, in this kind of weather! He called, when he saw the picture I posted!
-
Okay now Spookie.... Go put your flip-flops on and try walking in THIS nice weather!
-
Chevy, Just showed your photo to DH. He says it looks like Anchorage.
-
hmmmph. Nice weather indeed. That's why I moved here.
So you should come join her at Celebration and I'll take you to lunch at Columbia.
MammaRay, what part of Ohio are you in? I'm originally from Cinti.
Booooooo no puppy breath this weekend.
-
yeah I remember that. And the weeks with no sun and ..............
now😎
-
Got nailed with about 6 inches of snow.
-
See? I told you!
MamaRay.... Yes.... that one was so vivid.... and sweet... I was pretending I was still asleep........
I just fell in the snow.... So much snow, it would be hard to break anything! I fell on my knee, hands, lost my shoe, and fell up against the fence.... But the TRICK was, trying to sit up, or GET up, or turn around to kneeling, or just ANYthing! I was freezing my hands, Finally DH saw me out there, and HE tried to pull me up, but I just needed something to hang onto, so I could turn around, and get on my knees, and pull myself up, without pulling him down on top of me...... but then again.......... I'M JUST KIDDING!!!
So I got myself up, like any big girl would, and tried not to laugh! My pants are still wet... my hands were FROZE! But I got the path shoveled over to the fence to the little squirrel feeder! I just thank God I didn't get really hurt!
Wren.... Yes! Anchorage Alaska for sure! We just got hammered! My Dad was in Alaska, helping build the Al-Can highway! He had an album, with pictures of Sitka, Ketchican??? Anchorage, and photo's of ice-worms in walls of ice... This was about 1942..........I wish I still had that album....
-
Chevy!!! That's not even funny😡 Girl you were lucky. Last time you fell you broke your hip. You get Janie or a neighbor over there to shove that snow.
-
What in the world Mama!!!! You were lucky it was fresh snow you landed on. Gosh! Please be careful.
-
I know..........I know...... But I just feel bad seeing George do all the shoveling! I HAD to make it funny.... It's okay.... We didn't NEED to shovel a lot of that snow.... it's just that we always did it ourselves.... We just do a little at a time.... Maybe that's what keeps us going.... Can't walk up to Starbucks today.... Or maybe that would have been safer!
Janie just called.... and hollered....! I shouldn't have said anything.... Oh well....
-
I hope she tells Sheri and she yells at you too!!
-
keep these on hand for when you need a fix
-
Tell her Spookie!!!
CHEVY DO NOT SHOVEL 😨
OMD that was a scary thing to have happen!
Just because you live in Colorado, it doesn't mean this will happen if you get stuck...... Yes, we all know how you think!
THIS is how you could have ended up........
-
Chevy ~ "can't walk to Starbucks's today".......but you were out there shoveling a path to feed the squirrels! Not a path to the sidewalk! No excuses from you young lady. Leave the shovel alone. I know for a fact that squirrels will come to the door or window if they are hungry. Have your Starbucks delivered, wrap yourself in a nice warm blanket and feed those critters from the back door!
You are much too loved to have anything bad happen to you 💕
-
Next time don't shovel with your high heels on.
-
Oh you GUYS! Yes, I expect Sheri to call soon....
Sheppers! Funny Pictures! Hah! The reason I was hollering for Hubby, was my hands were FREEZING! And it was so slippery underneath me, I could not get traction! Oh...the phone just rang, but it wasn't Sheri.... It was BIL.... I'm not going to answer it Spookie.... and don't YOU call her!
Spookie! Is that green stuff where you are? Like PLANTS? or is that a picture somewhere? A CHRISTMAS CACTUS??? And trees? I'm trying not to be jealous!
-
-
Yeah that's my back yard. If I had Sheries phone I'd call her. I'm sure Janie will rat you out.
The white one is a thanksgiving cactus which is opening late. The red one should be right on schedule.
