I went in for a lump on one of my breasts. my doctor thought it was a skin deep thing but should have diagnostic just to make me feel better. went in for diagnostic and they found a problem in the other breast. I guess a lump that I had at my last mammo 3 years ago has gotten a little bigger. She said it didn't look concerning but any time something grows you want to sample it.

Is this probably in the 80% b9 group? I don't have a number. my biopsy is scheduled for the 27th. I'm trying to get it moved up thru another clinic because I am the type to seriously obsess and fret and fear..

I wouldn't worry too much if the doc said that it didn't look concerning. When the radiologist saw my tumor, he told me right away the it looked like Cancer, although a biopsy was needed to be sure

Why would you obsess & fret & fear and try to make an emergency appointment when the doctor clearly told you it didn't look concerning? Twelve days during the holidays is fast.

Sounds like to me it is higher than an 80% chance of being benign from the doctor's assessment.

Really, try to keep busy and try not worry about it until you know you have something to worry about. Odds are you are just fine. Fingers crossed for you

I have GAD and PSTD from past medical trauma as a child. it isn't an emergency appoint. there is just another breast clinic that has more room on their schedule than my clinic.

thank you for your words though. it helps. reading thru this forum the bad diagnosis seem much higher than 80% I am afraid it sent me into over drive.

You are on a cancer forum. All the women on not diagnosed thread who get benign results (most of them) get on with their lives and stop posting, so yes, most of them women still here have cancer.. Really, almost all of the women who post on this thread DO get benign results.
