Hi everyone, how are you all?

Just recently I got a test done for punch biopsy of the breast. At first they said that I was going to get my results with in a couple of days to a week. Over 2 weeks went by, and I called twice to get them but they didn't return my call. Today I get a call from the receptionist and she apologized twice. Turns out my sample was lost and they are now looking it over, but I still have to wait a bit for an answer. I am dealing with chronic anxiety, which is making me very tired. How many of you dealt with delays, and how did you pull through?

Grania: I'm sorry you are having this delay. It certainly does make us anxious. I noticed that you have started several, other threads about this same issue. it would be helpful if you picked one thread and kept posting on just one so we can all look at the history. Maybe you could call your PCP and discuss short term treatment for your anxiety.

I can make myself crazy trying to come up with all sorts of reasons that my biopsy results are delayed.

Delay means they're bad and the pathologist needs to confirm? Delay means they're good, so nobody's jumping on it?

I could go either way in my mind.

But in the end, we have to wait. I'm glad you called about it, and frankly, I'd be ticked off if my sample had been lost! Try to be patient, and you'll get your answers soon. Praying it's benign!
