Hi everyone..Dr. Carolyn Kaelin from Harvard Medical School just came out with this new book. It has alot of good information about getting back our strength and health. A good read..She is a breast cancer surgeon as well as a survivor like we are.
Hugs, Lisa

My YMCA is having a seminar next Saturday about cancer and a recovery fitness program.

I've signed up and will be interested to see what they say. I'd like to be on a list for people to talk with me about it. I found a couple of ladies in my aerobics class who'd had bc, and it was very encouraging to me. I always tried to make it to those classes; it gave me a sense of community there.

The local hospitals have library networks and found the book by Carolyn Kaelin, MD. A 1 month loan! Yes, it's good reading and I'm attempting to begin "healthy" eating. So far, lost 2lbs already! Contents include calculating your BMI "Body Mass Index", simple foods pyramid (unlike the norm) minimize the sweets, white potatoes, white rice, white pasta, white bread and some very good explanations and exercises. I'm game, "Look out vitamins... muscles and health here I come!" Thanks "Posters" for the recommendation!
