Calico!!!!!!
I am so happy to hear from you. How are you doing? SandraUK is coming to Boston for Thanksgiving and then we head to NY to hang with Peggy. And Sandra will be seeing Lynell. Do you want to join us? I have extra rooms.
So glad to hear from you.

Susan,
Hey, I'm well, thank you. Still on Femara. Afraid to give it up, really....How is your health? Are you still on Faslodex? (I so hope all is well...sometimes I'm afraid to check in)??? I kept reading a while back here but the format changed.....
How awesome that you all meet up. You are so sweet for inviting me.....I have a horrible fear of flying....not easily by myself
I'll have to think about it.
-
Hey Calico, it would be great to conquer your fear and meet up with us. I am getting really excited now, just 18 days until I am on that plane to Boston. I will be on my own too, hate the taking off and landing bit. Let me know, my email address is sandra.holroyd@btinternet.com
-
How was your trip? I bet you girls had a blast
-
calico,
it was wonderful. Sandra has posted a bumch of pictures on Facebook. Try to find her there to view them. Hope that you are doing well.

Hi lovely September sisters,
I missed checking in in September by a few days....11 years....
Sending you all my love
-
Hi Calico from a Rocktobergirl..1 month after you folks..feeling fortunate to hit 11 years in September as well.
-
Hi Rocktobergirl,
Glad to see you. Grateful for this site to start the journey .....
-
Calico, so lovely to see you posting. I have had two major progressions and have been on chemo for 11 months. Sadly, I am not the bearer of happy news. Sandra has a new career and Peg continues to do amazing things in NYCity. Leanne's boys are turning into incredible young men. I have kept up with them on Facebook, and their stories are so very joyful. I am so glad that you are well too. *susan*
-
Hi Susan,
I am so sorry to hear about your progression. What chemo are you on now and where has it spread to?I'm sending you good vibes. I feel so helpless responding like this. You are such a trooper and a strong woman I look up to, you have managed so well when the cancer came back. I hope and pray that chemo will stick it to the C big time. Will you have scans soon? Hugs to you my friend!!
Glad to hear about Peg and Susan. Is Leanne doing okay? Last she wrote didn't sound good.
xoxo
-
Calico,
My progression is into the bones– both ribs and spine. Sucks eh? Leanne seems to be doing well, and her boys are something else! Sandy has taken on a new career, working for a group that places students with families. Peg continues to work on Broadway. They are doing well. I am a semi-miracle. Leanne is the real thing!!!
I am still working full time, watching my first grand baby 1 1/2 days a week, and running an AirBNB. It is too much, but I am trying to figure out how to go forward and bring in enough income to pay for my insurance. It is a fine line.
Hope you are doing well,
*susan*
-
Susan,
Congrats, a grand baby? That's fantastic. Boy or girl? Nothing better to keep you 'running' around
You are running an AirBNB as well? You are Superwoman!! I know for sure now
I wish they would make it easier regarding health insurance. No fun to be stressing about affordability. Glad to hear the updates on everybody. FB is the thing nowadays I guess! Tell all out there I said Hello. I'm keeping tabs here, clicking on names for updates, that means I have my eyes on you
-
calico,
She is a girl. She is marvelous! I spend two days a week with her.
She loves sweet potatoes, and she give me tons of joy.
*susan*
-
Susan,
She is adorable. Wishing you tons of fun. Merry Christmas ;-)
-
Just want to say hello to any September Sisters that might be checking in. I can't believe that it's been 12 years! I became a grandmother in April! My younger daughter had a baby boy, Spencer. I am semi retired from working in wardrobe in NYC and life is good
-
Hello September sisters,
It's been 12 years. Hugs to everyone!
-
I start Cycle 9 of Taxol tomorrow morning. This isn't easy, but I am still here. My grand baby continues to be a delight. My daughter is still working on her doctorate. I no longer can work.
