I have a question about bone pain. During all my chemo I had bone pain issues but it was expected. Over the last two years I have had a few bouts of bone and joint pain and have dealt with it as needed. Over the last month the pain is consuming . It is mainly my long bones, both femurs and both humerus. I went to my primary doc on Thursday since I am not do to see Oncology until Jan. He is ordering a PET since I never got one after treatment and he ordered some labs. I am looking for anyone with similar issues. I am starting to feel like I am crazy and even thought I have Tramadol for pain (I am allergic to acetaminophen and NSAIDS) it's not cutting it and it's a constant battle to get through the day.

Hope you get relief soon. I had some bone pain on anastrozole and exemestane. It bothered me at night when I was trying to get to sleep and would wake me up. Now that I'm off AI drugs I don't have the pain. Just had a scare with possible spine mets turn out to be buldging disk. Ice helped for my disk. I hope you feel better soon.

I have been plagued with bone/joint pain since taxol and that ended sept 2014. In fact, it is getting worse. Taxol seems to have exacerbated all of my arthritis, the bit I had and seems to have made it where I didn't have it. I stopped working after chemo because of this. I have it terribly bad in my left foot and right hip, which of course, is now messing with my back because I am not walking straight. My chiro helps me a bit with my back but nothing is helping this arthritic pain, not even Percocet (acetaminophen/ low dose oxycodone). I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I do hope that you find something to help you. Let us know if you find success.

Just an fyi......I have had two bone scans or maybe three. It was interesting to see how the arthritis has increased since the original scan that was done prechemo. I wonder what causes this exacerbation. You may wish to check the arthritis in your joints with the pet scan results.

yes I have L4 and L5 mild to moderate arthritis I think it is from the anastrozole or exemestane I took.

Also noticed it in neck xray, but my neck is much better and spine feels pretty good. The ankle pain and trigger finger are gone after discontinuing AI.

We need better treatment this is so crappy.

Thank god I found this site. I have been suffering with horrible pain since 3 days after my first chemo treatment . I can't even get these doctors to acknowledge it. it's been almost 3 months since my last chemo and the pain is still unbearable at times. I can't even walk sometimes it's so bad. my oncologist told me there was no reason for my pain, like I was making it up... seems as though this taxol has been behind it all along. I see my primary care doc this week, I hope she will listen to me and take this seriously . somethings got to give here.. can't live this way. thank you for sharing your story, I now know I'm not alone. thank you!!!!!

I go to an osteopath. They work on the body as a whole. I took horrible cramping across my shoulder blades during my 6th round of weekly chemo. My osteo is working on it. I'm still tender, but it's improving every time I see him. My last chemo treatment was early Oct 2016.

I am 7 months out from chemo and my leg pain is getting worse. I am terrified that my career is about to go down in flames.

Taking 500 mg of Gabapentin daily.

The osteopath is a great idea, ForeverOptimistic.

    Stay strong, sisters
