I just had a BMX on 11/23. I was a C cup with mild droop from breastfeeding and really wanted to go smaller, was not concerned wit lateral scars and so I chose the 1 stage reconstruction to avoid TE and 2nd surgery. I had to go to many PS in LA to find someone who "got it" that I wanted A/small B cups. I am 10 days post-surgery and very concerned that I am too large. PS said he used teardrop shaped 250ccs but I think I still look like a C. I am small build 5/10", 125 lbs and narrow build. Anybody else had small Direct to Implants? And how long do they take to settle into their permanent size? Much thx

it is still early - there may still be some swelling. I have heard 6 weeks-6 months to see your "final" result

Hi there. I had direct to implant reconstruction with my BMX. IMO it takes a full year to really see what the end result it. It's way too early to tell right now. Good luck and keep us posted.

Like others have said, due to swelling, it can take 6 months to a year to see your final results, so you'll just have to be patient for the swelling to fully resolve and let you see the end result.

Thanks! I did read elsewhere that direct to implant can seem very high on the chest for weeks to months. Do you know the ccs of your DTI?

sorry can't remember. I was really never concerned about the cc's because I was a DD prior to surgery and the PS told me the biggest I could be with this type of reconstruction was a full C. I decided to go ahead because like you I wanted to avoid the TEs, fills and second surgery. It did take me almost a year to adjust to the smaller size though. I know its hard but try to be patient. Good luck and keep us posted....
