The tears wont stop
I just had a BMX on 11/25. For some reason today has been the hardest day.

(((Hugs))), so sorry you are going through this...we know how you feel and we are here for you...Maureen
-
Melinda, I'm sorry. I'm sending you virtual hugs {{}}. I haven't been where you are yet, but I'm nervous (I'm scheduled for surgery on the 5th.)
-
This is a new chapter in all of our lives. Not a chapter we want to be in. We will get through this and know that we are all sending you hugs as the ones who are waiting get strength from those of you who have gone through this before us.
-
So sorry. Some days are just harder than others. The hard days get further apart. Sending you my love and support
-
Thanks Ladies.. Just a rough patch. I have ny black lab Maddie right next to me. She is helping me. I love her, she knows Moms not herself.
-
Give Maddy a treat and a hug from all of us! I noticed you have ILC, too. What is your treatment plan moving forward?
-
The plans are radiation and anti-hormone therapy. My Onco isn't sure about chemo as of yet. I have my first appointment with him on 12/16. I have a PET scan this Thursday, follow up with BS on Friday. Just trying to heal, I hate these drains! But oh well and I cant do anything is driving me nuts. Not sure when I can return to work, just alot on my mind....You can only watch so much TV and sleep from the pain meds.
-
Hang now there Melinda! You have support here. So sorry you are in the club. You will have a good day again. Many of them.
Be kind to yourself. It is ok to be sad, this is a big deal. But you are bigger, better and stronger. You are a survivor

Hi Melinda - I feel like there is always a letdown after surgery. The after effects of the anesthesia made me weepy. This is all a process and totally uncharted territory. Take things a step a time. I found that the day DH took me to a loud action movie I was able to forget cancer for a couple blessed hours. I think I would have done better if I could have gone to work, anything that gives you a reprieve is very helpful.
-
Melinda, I never would have gotten through any of this without my dogs. They know, and they do take care of you. I had BMX and was home the same day. Got in bed with Alec (smooth collie, 80 lbs.). So much better than staying in the hospital!

Hi Melinda - I had my BMX 11/14 and totally understand how you feel.. I've had good days and days I've cried over everything. Sending you hugs!! I will say today is 2weeks and 2 days and I put on a bra and my knitted knockers and the family and I are headed out. I feel like "ok I'm doing this today" --- good luck and positive thoughts headed your way. -
Thank you Nulyte. I had my PET scan today and so another waiting game. Im nervous about those results.
I did get my knitted knockers today though!
-
Melinda0628, hope your PET scan went great. I 'll have mine in 5 days. Keep my fingers crossed!
