Fosamax?

I posted this in the Bone Health section but it doesn't seem to get much traffic.
I've been on Arimidex for 2 and 1/2 years. Side effects are annoying but tolerable. I've recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis and my doctor put me on Fosamax. Week one was ok but I'm in the second week and am having stomach pains three days after taking the dose. I don't know if I just have some virus or what but was wondering who else has had this. If so, have you switched to another drug? Thanks.

    Have you discussed either Zometa or Prolia with your doctor? Both of those have shown some evidence of reducing metastases as well as protecting our bones. Both are twice a year only. I've had no issues with Zometa and I don't think most women do with either of the two.

    My doctor mentioned Reclast if I can't handle the Fosamax. The stomach issues seem to be subsiding though. I think the insurance company wants Fosamax to be the first line of defense because of the price
