Skin care - Changes and correcting
How has everyone's skin changed after chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments? I know I experienced the crepe paper skin and aging spots around my eyes. So far I am in remission and on Arimidex daily and a Lupron shot once every 3 months.
I have tried the Murad Resurgence line and it is okay, but the spots are still there. I recently got a creme called Lather AHA hand creme w/ evening primrose from a Fab Fit Fun box. I accidentally put too much on my hands one night, so I rubbed the remaining on my neck and over my port scar. This began a routine and the skin and scar are actually improving in texture!
I'm curious what everyone is doing to get themselves back together after the long treatment period.

Hi.
I am 8 years out surgery and chemo. Had total hysterectomy and 5 years Tamoxifen. I began noticing rapid aging of my skin. Wrinkles, dryness, sagging and spots.
I began using Rodan and Fields Skincare line in August and am pleased with the results so far.

My first go-to product to heal and repair excessively dry skin after TCx4 was a rich oil blend product called Living Blessed Rejuvenation Oil. I then moved onto Power Repair Nourishing Face Cream. Both are 100% truly natural.
-
I have heard of the Rodan Fields products. I will have to check them out. Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation about the Power Repair Face Cream dlb. I ended up buying the Power Repair Skin Care Kit - my oestrogen-deprived January skin was crying out for something extra (I usually use Dr Hauschka Rose Cream and rosehip oil). These is a really nice range and they seem economical to use.

I was going to ask about lotions, and then I saw your post. I had my mastectomy on the 24th of January. I have begun to itch severely around the mastectomy site. I always heard itching was a sign of healing, but it is driving me up a wall!
Where can I get these skin care products? Are they very expensive? Are there any other types of lotions that might help?

@BosumBlues, thank you for the information. I will try to look for that. I will also try to look for some fade cream. I know that they sell that a lot of different places.

@BosumBlues, thank you for the info. I find it very helpful. I seem to be healing pretty quickly. I need to adjust, which I'm sure that we all have had or are having to do.
You take care, and have a nice day.

I splurged and purchased a Clarasonic kit. I think this is the magic bullet for my skin. it really helps this the cellular turnover. Now I need to work on getting the rest of me back.
