My bride of 40 years has TNBC

New to this, I hope it is ok for me to post being it is about my wife. She was diagnosed with stage 2, 2 node involvement. She has had a lumpectomy & is currently receiving Taxol infusions weekly. This will be followed up with 4 rounds of I/C & radiation therapy. She is loosing her hair so we got her a wig, which looks great. I know she feels a little less than human (port, hair loss, etc) but she is still the gorgeous, wonderful woman I was blessed to marry. We have some deep water to go through, but we are in it together. Forgive the rambling, I just wanted to start somewhere.

    Awedmusic, Welcome to the club you never wanted to join! Make sure you take care of yourself thru this trip. My husband was my rock and my biggest cheerleader, supporter, - you name it, he was there. He took up running thru my treatments as a way to release stress. Make sure you do something for you so that you are able to care for her. I'm sure others will chime in soon - but with the holiday tomorrow, you may find that the board is very quiet. If there is anything I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask me. So glad you wife has you!

    You sound like an amazing man, just like my own husband! You will get through this together and with the support of the wonderful people on these boards!

    If you want another husband's prospective, I am sure mine would be able to commiserate with you! We are also long married, and not that far behind you and your wife!
