Can I ask you ladies what was your experience?

I'm having them switched tomorrow. Getting nervous.

Thanks in advance :

I switched from expander to implant on the right side only (left side was removed due to infection on 11/2), on Friday, November 11th. I went back to work yesterday, the 16th and considered going back on the 15th. I moved to Tylenol for pain on Saturday and wasn't taking anything by Monday. I work a desk job, so it's a bit easier to get back to work for me.

Hi Bonniebleu, recovery time depends on whether any adjustments will be done during the exchange surgery. I needed no adjustments and recovery time was minimal. Like Brenaj I had my exchange surgery on a Friday and was back to work on Tuesday. I have a desk job.

Good luck with your exchange surgery!

I had my implant exchange yesterday. I had some pocket revision in my right (much more sore than my left. It feels like week 3 or 4 after BMX, so that is amazing. Hoping others will post their experiences...

Same - Aside from lifting restrictions I felt pretty good by the end of a week. (And I had a lot of work done on one side, too.)

    Good luck!

    Hi ladies!

Had exchange last Thursday and as of today (Monday), I feel much better than I had anticipated. No need for pain meds yesterday or today. So, that would be after first three days I was off pain meds.

It was painful and reminded me of the crushing chest pain and inability to move my arms just like after BMX the first couple of days.

I slept in my regular bed propped up on a bunch of pillows. Didn't need a recliner this time.

    Getting tired easily though.

So thankful I'm feeling good and possibly going to start getting some work done (desk/light) this week.

Wishing everyone here a fast and peaceful recovery!
