My chest is now freezing!
I really didn't realize how much boobs provide warmth for your chest. It's fall here and I am sooo cold without them. I'm wearing a bandeau bra and a camisole over it and it now feels tolerable. Man, nobody warned me about this! One benefit, no underboob sweat in the summer.

Wicked: your post made me smile. I'm not meaning to be happy you are cold - that must be such a nusence. It's just reminds me of how we are catapulted into this new normal. Little things keep coming up that we never thought of before. I like your silver lining. I wish you a speedy and comfortable recovery from your recent op.

Mine too! I wear one or two camisoles, if I'm not wearing my prostheses. I agree with you-nobody told me that my chest would be cold.
-
Made me Smile!!! Took me back 8 years when I was finding out all this too. And I hate how the seat belt doesn't sit good anymore. I complained to my surgeon and he smiled and said men have had that problem for years!
-
I had a huge hematoma after a biopsy 6 months ago. It was so uncomfortable with a seatbelt. My chest is now the most comfortable it has been in a car in 6 months! I had gotten so used to adjusting the seatbelt all the time. Don't have to do that now.

The weather just turned chilly here in So Cal and YES! So cold without the former boobs!
I am layering like crazy, not for any kind of looks but for being warm!
-
wicked, even with implants my chest is cold. It's like having giant ice cubes on your chest. I'm reading up on going flat. I hope to have the implants removed in March. I think it's the removal of the body fat from the bmx whether there's reconstruction or not.
Good luck with your outcome

I like being able to answer the door without putting a bra on.
I found a clip to put on my seat belt because I was so tired of holding it away from my neck.

I have the same. My implants are always cold. Very odd to be in a hot bath with cold boobs.
-
The silver lining is that those of us who have cold chests or foobs have a built-in ice pack for those times when you experience hot flashes or night sweats. It works, believe me!
😲 🤗 😀

What about drinking any cold liquid?! I feel like a cascade of icy waterfall all the way from mouth to my stomach. Hoping this goes away. Now I swish everything around to get it warmer before I swallow.
-
Renee, I only get that feeling sometimes with cold liquid, but not all the time. Weird!
-
Renee - that feeling has greatly diminished for me at about 3.5 months out from my BMX. It's a freaky sensation, for sure! So glad I read about it on this forum before the first time I experienced it.

Wicked & Luna, Thanks! I really look forward to enjoying ice cold drinks next spring. Good it's tea season right now.
