Her2 + and radiation to left breast area

Hi ,

I'm wondering if anyone experienced anything similar? I have had 9 of 20 radiation treatments to my left breast ..... ( part of your heart and lungs get zapped.... you inflate as much as possible while radiating the area) Gradually each day after treatment my throat got sore .... then by Day 6/7 my esophagus began to feel raw ... leading down to my lungs .....then a weird heavy feeling developed there by Day 9 .

If I continue with this by Day 20 I'm going to be a mess internally . I know they are radiating higher than they should be as I can see the pink area is not just a rectangle from under my arm to the center of my chest . I mentioned the sore throat earlier to my Doc but it got dismissed as did the possibility of them radiating too high up yet I know the heavy dragging feeling when I breathe is simply just wrong . I know it's effecting my lungs . I'm seriously ...90% ... towards pulling out of radiation . It's damaging me internally . I decided to miss today's session and do more research .

I'm Her 2 + and was also DCIS ( micro calcification) ...lumpectomy ... clear margins but 40 cells found in the sentinel node they removed . I had an anaphylactic shock reaction to Paclitaxol and have refused further Chemo after my lungs stopped functioning and my blood pressure went sky high within 5 minutes but they agreed to ler me have Herceptin on its own .

Just want to know if anyone else felt their lungs were very unhappy during radiation?

Hugs to everyone ❤️
