    D- you go girl!

Had skin punch on suspicious mole today. If it's not one thing, it's another. Results forthcoming. If I hear nothing, she said that's good news.

Just need the white cells to rebound now. Go Monday for blood work and if needed another transfusion. All my hair is just about gone now. So sucks! Went to a couple of craft fairs today. Was good to get out. I did wear a mask though.

Got up at three to pee then went back to bed. Had to pee again at 4 so up again. Went to put the coffee on and stepped in dog shit . DH forgot to let him out last night before bed. Finally got coffee and sat down. Hose camedisconnected from the bag and I was peeing down my leg. 😬 Not off to a goof start of my day. Maybe I should go back to bed and stay there.

Dianarose, At least go back to bed, sleep a bit and then start the day over in a good way. Between you and the dog, please tell me you have easy to clean flooring. Good Luck with your blood work today.

Dianarose, WHAT a start to your day!!! I agree with Eli, back to bed and push the restart button. You are handling some rugged treatments, there. Its so encouraging to hear that you are a match for several kinds. Losing hair sucks, I couldn't agree with you more. I love your willingness to get out there, despite how compromised you must feel. Big hugs and cheers from your fan in the midcoast! xo Mame

If there is going to be a weird side effect you can count on me getting it. The other day no matter what room I was in I could smell a skunk. I almost had DH go check the basement. Nope, it's me. Apparently chemo and cancer can leave thru your skin. No Matter what I do it doesn't help. My pee is even stronger smelling. I read that one lady with a similar problem was asked not to go to her kids functions at school because she smelled. I also read not to worry as it goes away in 6-9 months after you stop chemo. Are you kidding me!!!! I can't stand myself! Ha this happened to anyone else. Now I am bald and smell like a skunk. What the Hell!!

Is everyone out of their turkey comas by now? It took me a while to come around this morning.

Dianarose, Which chemo do you think is the "smelly" one? I didn't notice any b.o. with my chemos, but I seem to remember my urine having a slight odor. My mom complained that she smelled different, but I didn't notice it on her. I wonder if it is not only an actual smell, but some kind of change in your smell receptors? Please tell me you were able to enjoy the grand aroma of roasting turkey yesterday.

El- the only chemo I got last week was Taxol so it must be the one. Other people can smell it too. We were in a store and my DH said he knew what isle I was in because he could smell me.

It was nice to eat real food yesterday

iz1999, That I do not know. Someone here might be familiar, but you will probabaly get more response on the TN threads. Also, do a search using SSDI, or spell it out. That should get you the answers.

D-rose, Yeah, my mom did a taxane; but that was not a part of mine. Glad about that even more after what you are saying.

    ThumbsDown

Diana--holy cow, how not fair to now have this side effect!Just not right and not fair, but hopefully it means the chemo is working.

Giggling at Barbe saying out loud what I was thinking!

    1. Loral- thanks. I did some further research and people have suggested Gold Bond medicated powder and some good old fashioned yeast infection cream. I tried Dial odor blocking soap and that worked for about two minutes.

It's very weird to actually feel good the past couple of days and to eat. I had half a pork chop and some Amish buttered noodles with some cucumber slices. Mornings are still a bit tough but once I take my regimen of drugs it gets better. I go for blood work Monday and chemo on Wednesday but meet with the MO first to discuss the course of action now that all the chemo sensitivity tests are back.

    Barb- too funny
