hi all I had my exchange 10/26 to mentor memory shape high profile 440cc. I'm still on my wedge don't want to turn or 'disturb' the girls while they're 'settling' in the pockets.

Can any of you weigh in on how you sleep with your implants? I'm a side/kinda stomach sleeper and think I'll never get that position again. I'd liketo know how you sleep and how soon after exchange

Thank you for all your experiences it's been a relief to come to this board

Hi Lady, I think it took me about five or six months after the exchange to start sleeping comfortably on my sides. The side where the lymph nodes were removed took a bit longer and I still prefer to sleep on the other side. So hang in there and your day will come!

I am a die hard side sleeper. I had no exchange, as I have one step implants, but I'm fairly certain it took about 4-5 months before I could comfortably sleep on my sides. I can sleep on either side, even the node dissection side, without any problem or being conscious of the implants. I've never been a stomach sleeper, but have tried to lay on my stomach a few times (playing with grandkids 😀) but they don't compress completely flat like natural tissue would. Good luck with your recovery. It does get better

Thanks exbrnxgirl good info! I'm still on a wedge 😓

Doubt I can ever get professional massage again if I can't lay on my stomach....hmmmm

About 6 months before I could lie on either side but I still use plenty pillows. Also you can definitely have a massage. They just prop a pillow under tummy so that you arent pressing down too hard on the breasts.

I'm a year out and can sleep on my side, pillows are my friends! Also, re: professional massage...I ask for a towel and roll it up and lie with it just above my implants and they can massage away!

I will never forget the morning I woke up with my left arm over my head - that had aways been my preferred position on my back. I'm 2 years out from my exchange surgery and the only reminder is the scars and absence of nipples. I'm a little numb still on my lymph node side. but I can honestly assure you that you WILL feel more and more "normal" as time goes by.

I can lie comfortably on my tummy as well.

Omg ladies what a relief to hear good things about preferred sleeping positions and even getting a massage again someday !?!

I got off the wedge and am now on two pillows stacked and I put a travel pillow around my neck lol I want to turn to my side so bad but think I shouldn't only 3 weeks out from exchange

Hoping I can someday sleep in my weird fav position... top part of body kinda on my stomach hands under pillow and one leg kinda drawn up and other stretched out lol yes I'm weird

Thanks for letting me kno I'll get there someday !!!!

lady, I dunno, I just can't. they are as much a part of me as my breasts were (though I do miss my breasts! 😂). honestly, I don't even think much about it, I just lie on my tummy like I used to.

Hang in and don't expect too much too soon

    Jen
