7 YEARS!!!!
Hello girls "old" and new!
I haven't been here lately but wanted to touch bases and let you know yesterday was my 7 year out from surgery date!!!! It's been such a roller coaster but I am so grateful to the girls I've met here on BCO for the words of understanding, advise, humor and absolute love.
I haven't had the most perfect journey and actually am waiting on some tests which always brings out that fear in me that I guess we all have to live with in our own way.
Hang in there new girls. At the beginning I couldn't imagine being this far out,but here I am! You can do this too! One day, one second, one minute at a time and POOF, before you know it you'll be celebrating 1 year, then 2, then 7 and on and on!
And of course thank you to the BCO team. This place means the world to me!
Love to all,
Sharon

Congratulations (((pupfoster1))) and thanks so much for your message of optimism and hopeI've just passed the 4 year mark...although I still worry at times with each day I grow more thankful and more hopeful, stories like yours light up the path ahead...I hope your tests are negative for any concerns going forward (((Hugs))) Maureen

Many congrats to you! I too live with the fear - every day actually - but somehow that first year has turned into ten, and I am extremely grateful for what I call those "gravy" years.
Long may we rock!

I'm so happy for you! I was in the same "class" as you.
Great news!

Another 7 'yearer' here. As far as I know today (no one knows wbat 'tomorrow' holds for us) who is still NED. Not bad for an IBCrr whose Drs weren't expecting a year. They never told me that at the time but did when I 'hit' a year 6+ yrs ago.
